[QUOTE=DynamiteRave;1055219]For the people that voted that Gruden was a bad hire, can they suggest who they would've rather the Skins hire and why? ]Bevell has gotten the most out of Russell Wilson. Quinn runs a good 4-3 with multiple fronts. Whisenhunt's done good things with rivers and kurt warner. those are my top 3 I'd rather have than Gruden.

I don't think there was a bad hire considering what we just went through

If Snyder did in fact say this, and that's a big if, then you're correct...same old same old.

This.

But his skillset is not that of RGIII, making his ceiling much lower. Dalton may be as good now as he will ever be. RGIII has lots of room for growth.

Let's hope!

Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins

It appears his sources were wrong this time, because this article/rumor has been denied all over the internet. I guess we have three options.
1. His source was wrong.
2. His source was right and both Redskins and 49ers are wrong
3. His source wasn’t very accurate and he reported it anyway.
If its number three, why would he do this?

As for the rumor that the interviews of the 49'er coaches were not cancelled, I DON'T CARE! True or false, it's nothing more than gossip. When did the NFL become TMV, anyway?

When Mike Florio started to write about football.

OMG . . . can you believe the "Washington Team," didn't even call the 9'ers back to let them know . . . it's like tots rude! Snyder is like the NFL's #1 frienemy!

And that tie Bruce was wearing at the press conference . . . hello 1990's much?

Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins

Seems like Turner would be one we'd want to keep. Our running game was the ONE bright spot on the team last year.

Then again, he was also Shanahan's RB coach in Denver so maybe it's just a full purge of anyone close to Shanahan.

Interesting read about how Gruden likes to fill out the offensive roster:

We won more with Vinny

Just to add insult to injury, they keep the town idiot in Haslett and fired the best coach we had in coach Bobby Turner. This guy has been a miracle worker, for years. How stupid is that.

Complete and utter speculation on my part, I think the FO liked what Turner did with the RB's and wanted to keep him in spite of his long and substantial ties to Shanny, but that, once the leaks kept on coming, all eyes focused on him. IMHO, he was just the final purge in the night of long knives.

As for Haslett, he and Gruden worked together before. Same can't be said of Gruden and Turner.
