Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
2-4 is a good place to be. The new regime can draft whoever they want essentially. Stay put, move up, move down...whatever they want to do.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I’m with you, but this guy is like Demeco Ryans and we might regret it. As long as he surrounds himself with a solid OC.

Agree but film also doesn’t lie. Caleb really can make some shit out of nothing similar to Allen and Mahomes. I need to watch more of Maye I’ll post some clips in here of both soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I watched him live 2-3 times this year, I’ve seen him sit back with 4-6 seconds to throw…he will still miss some throw even with that time. Also I’ve seen them drop him way back behind the line…Kyler style. Not good. What I care about for the QB prospects: 1.accuracy under pressure, 2.accuracy under 2.5 secs to throw, 3. accuracy at depths with percentage of throws to each: behind the line, short, medium and deep. 4. Does he throw his receivers open? Does he throw with his receivers coming out of breaks? Anticipation. We’ve seen Sam do this and it’s an extremely high IQ skill to the position. 5. How did he lead the team in pressure situations? Competitiveness. Work. I don’t want kyler Murray lazy ass type here. I don’t want Haskins in here about his brand. 6. Everything else matters in context…especially scheme and character

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Chico, you have valid points except for 4. Howell is a low IQ qb that doesn’t anticipate throws very well. He is often late and throws behind WRs. This is the main reason he leads the NFL in pick 6s.
Also, Caleb is slightly* taller than Howell but doesn’t seem to be an issue for Sam supporters. |

Penix Williams My QB big board. Haven't decided 1 and 2 yet. Or more accurate, I previously thought Maye, but Daniels is very intriguing.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
A lot can and will change between now and the end of April, including the order in which the prospective QBs are ranked. It wouldn't surprise me if a team moved up to # 1 and selected either Maye, Daniels, or Williams.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
It wouldn't surprise me if the new GM traded back from 3 to 5 and got an a few additional picks in the early mid rounds.....this is in addition to already having two 2nds and two 3rds.....
