Re: Wynn cut (maybe)

Does anyone know how much Sam Adams was paid last year? Wynn is definitely a solid player but I would definitely give him up for Adams.

Hell, sign Adams outright! They have over 4 million in cap room.

we have 3 needs and DT isn't one of them. adams is also 34 now and on the decline. LB, OL, CB #3 + draft picks is about all that money is going to get you.

Well excuse me Vinny. You can never have too much depth on the line and if they release Wynn guess what... They will need another lineman.

Also, what is your criteria for stating that he is on the decline. If that is the case why was he rated as the 24th best available free agent by ESPN??

So true. Put the CB talk on hold while we settle the line problem.

he meant the D line which has plenty of depth right now between wynn, daniels, carter, griffin, joe, killings, bosch, etc. why do we need to use all our space to fill a non need and bring in an old guy that'd repalce people that can sstick around longer? they said they wanted to get youth in the DL depth, not more age.

how many players get better after 34? how many years do you expect him to play? is he more important than OL depth or that gaping hole at ROLB? we have good DT depth at least 3-4 deep, the money can be better spent fill actual needs... unless you're comfortable knowing that if a OL starter goes down we're fscked or that our ROLB may suck all year and there won't be any way to fix it, but hey, we got a 4th starting DT, so who cares?

if you want to debate thats fine, but let's try facts instead of weak smack.

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)

Yeah I have to agree with That Guy, Adams may have ben good 2 years ago, but lets face it he is no spring chicken and with that amount of weight on his legs at his age he will get tired out way to fast... Do we need to up grade our DT's? I dont know but if we do I hope that it will be with someone much younger than 34...

too much for his production, but the team obviously likes him enough that it doesn't matter, or else he would have been cut already. They like him in the locker rooom and they like his selfless team first attitude... of course, if he got cut, he'd also be making a lot less money when he found another contract.

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)

seriously? seemed to me like he would be fine on the inside. if anything would be great depth to rotate and come in on run only situations.
