Re: Fans Calling out Peter King and the media

i doubt the boycott is going to change their ways.

I'm really surprised after all these years people still get pissed off whenever they read something new bashing the skins. Its Q rating. Like with Cossell, it doesn't matter if you like them or hate them, just as logn as you're not indifferent you'll read to see what they say, and nothing changes.

Raymer, good? He was a swinging door in the seattle game. Ramsey, lets face it, he wasn't Joes guy. LaVar, well that just didn't work out. Sometimes its addition by subtraction, so lets hope that is true this year.

peter King obviously has a bone to pick with the skins, EVERY YEAR!! He is suppose to be a writer, and not bias - atleast not the the obvious extent he is taking it. He needs to find someone else to bash, hey how about the Cards. they take every owners money at the end of each year and stick it in their pockets instead of in the team. How about picking on some dude who has consistently ran the cards in the ground every year!

You're a better man than me- everytime I read or watch a report (that usually is a major national report or piece) and at the end they add something like or start off with something that tries to ridicule the redskins - it makes my blood boil and I say f**k you outloud. It just gets to a point when enough is enough (after all these years) and especially after last year's success and looking forward to the good things this upcoming season.

And I don't know about all of you, but I couldn't even enjoy the playoff victory over Tampa Bay. All they talked about was the redskins setting a record for least offensive production in a playoff win - if they liked the redskins and wanted to put a positive spin on it, they could have focused on the fact that this happened and still managed to win the game because of the defense and the ability to make big plays when it counted.

yeah i dont give a crap. i mean i talk about it for having the sake of something to talk about but i guarantee you if the skins win the super bowl and they talk about how they "bought" it rather than making smart personnel moves i wont be able to hear or care about it due to the noise of my super bowl party.

Look I also dissagree with peter King about his response they where dumb they don't say anything about how your team has manage the cap wich they have done a good job to allways have money in FA and pick players. and the "well see" comment was STUPID.

The only bad thing I see with all the spending money and overpaying your team has done with some players is that that force them to cut players or let them go after 3 years on their contracts before the big salaries kick in and you can't keep an Identity, that's the only downfall.

And it has hurth you, you can't arguew that, it took you 10 years to get back at top form you can say the same about us but we where in cap hell because we had to let go Aikman, Irvin and others early and that put is i n cap hel lwhen the cap was 60 mill not 100 lol....

But what your front office has done is remarcable bacause it has keep them in contention every year no rebuilding period like SF or Teneesee, soo props to that again in my book Dan Snyder has had 4 great signing Gibbs, Williams, Saulders and Portis..... I credit Moss to Gibbs and even for that matter I tought moss for cols was a bad move at the time I was wrong hey a lot of you where to even if you don't admit it.

with the point that I can agree with peter is with Ramsey he was a first rounder even if he was a late and really they didn't gave him a lot of chance he played for 2 different coaches for christ sake and he only really sarted in 1 of his 4 years he's 2 green.

Is like Campbell right now what if Brunnell has another great year and still is the starter next year that would meen Cambell would be sitting for 3 years and when he finnally gets a chance he will be in his finall year of a contract.

All I have to say about Ramsey is- he's just not a Gibbs guy; he's a Spurrier guy. And I think that's that. Yeah I agree it might have been a mistake to draft him, but if Gibbs doesn't have confidence in him, whatcha gonna do. what's done is done - and what we do with him is going to be the best for the team right now. Can't go back in time.

But see that's an example of how the redskins just can't live anything down. First round quarterbacks and players sometimes just don't pan out - and this happens with all teams. But with the redskins, your grandson will hear about how Ramsey was a mistake (... and every year for the rest of his life).

he was a danny guy. spurrier didn't want to draft him, and wanted to ship him off to chicago.

Re: Fans Calling out Peter King and the media

I dont mean to pile on here...but Arrington wasnt released for salary cap reasons. We could easily have kept him, maybe not signed Archuleta or something, who knows...but its not like we HAD to release him. He makes it sound like there was this great salary cap purge when Cory Raymer had a freakin million dollar salary!

Yeah, it's like cutting Cory Raymer really hurt us - when the redskins can probably draft or pickup someone with greater value easily. This is one of the most weakest arguments out there right now and for a professional writer, at that. Come on, he's really grasping for straws ... or whatever the expression is

I don't think so there's only 1 way your grandson will hear about Ramsey if he does well where ever he goes.

There's only 3 situation tha twil llast in the memory of every media guy, fan and personel in the NFL for years 2 come and 2 involve the cargers.

#1 The biggest flop in history RYAN LEAF that's story has been used for the last 8 years and just won't die he's the worst pic in draft history and I don't think no one can surpass him.

#2 The Chargers letting Brees walk this will only pan out if brees at least does a decent job in NO and Rivers turns out to be a bust.

#3 The Cleveland Browns draft pics since they came back to the league. 1999 1 tim Couch bust (gone no longer plays), 2000 #1 courtney brown bust (lest to denvers appers to get his carreer back), 2001 #3 gerard Warren bust (good player didnt play for his draft status in denver getting his carrer back),2002 #16 William Green bust (never had more than 500 yard last year only 20), 2003 #21 Jeff fine C average(good player but no probowler hasn't live up to expectation), 2004 #6 Kellen Winslow Jr MEGA BUST (has played 2 games in 2 years do to injuries), 2005 #3 Braylon Edwards good ( seems like the real deal new manegment pic up played 10 games got hurth lets see if he's not injury prone)

Those are the the things right now that willl go down in history.

Yeah, I said it all in fun. I was greatly exagerating my point, just to add a little humor and to emphasize it.

But I also need to disagree with you - that Hershel Walker/draft(s) trade and maybe Ricky Williams should be included. 2 just off the top of the dome.

Re: Fans Calling out Peter King and the media

I liked the first question about the how he keeps calling out how next year the skins will be in cap hell.

King responds by saying "it's about winning".

Can someone draw the connection here? Anyone? I didn't think so.

Heck, even my wife wont blatantly change the subject like that that during a losing arguement.

He is a women.
