Re: Any Food Network fans?
I stand corrected. I had seen those before and they looked totally fake. I guess they are so airbrushed they looked fake.

Re: Any Food Network fans?
My wife constantly has Food Network on...so you can't help but watch. My wife's a big Paula Deen fan.
Giada is certainly hot. I want to see Sandra Lee thrown into a wood chipper, just after Rachael Ray. They are both annoying as hell to me. Bobby Flay is decent on the BBQ, but if you want to really learn proper BBQ mechanics, have to flip over to PBS and watch Barbeque U with Steven Raichlen. Emeril has his moments, and I do enjoy Alton and his techniques on showing you how and why to do things.

Alton seems to make things really hard to do though.

Re: Any Food Network fans?
I believe the Rachel Ray FHM pics are at best disputed. There are numerous accounts of them being in FHM's April Fools issue. I'll eat abug if they are real. They don't just look fake they look bad fake.

Re: Any Food Network fans?
Honestly, I'm on the fence now, BUT Wikipedia is by no means the end all on definitions.

Honestly, I'd trust this source. It looks like a news source.

Re: Any Food Network fans?
i have to admit, i've been a rachel ray fan forever (before she blew up!)... i kinda dig the thick italian thing she's got going on... she always gets tipsy on 40 dollars a day.
flay is the man on the grill... his steaks always look too good! |

Re: Any Food Network fans?
First off, Paula Dean has the absolute best recipes on television. I've made alot of her stuff and everything has come out delicious.
I don't like emeril much, but the best meal out I've ever had was at K-Pauls. It's owned by Paul Prudhomme, an authentic cajun/creole chef. I've been replicating his recipes in my own home for years and he's by far my favorite chef. He used to have a TV show, but that may have been locally when I lived in SE texas. I'm not sure if he's still in business since his shop was in New Orleans, but It was Very Reasonable and from what I hear his prices are always pretty fair and wow... You won't find a better blend of flavor in any kind of food in the world.... The depth and the way the peppers clean your palate after every bite... sorry food is one of my passions... If you're more than a novice in the kitchen I suggest you check out some of his recipes in Paul Prudhomme's Louisiana Kitchen. The Seafood and Andouille Gumbo and the Shrimp/Crawfish Etoufee' are my favorites. Chicken Etoufee' is pretty good too, just be prepared to take on an endevor with most of his meals to make them come out right.
