I also got news that they are about to begin filming of Boondock Saints 2 and thankfully this time it will be without William Defoe so everyone wins.
MJG... I think we're cut from the same cloth man! "Inside Man" was truly an underrated movie... I'm a big Spike fan myself. It's weird how they didn't even market the film as a Spike Joint. Probably b/c most of his movies have a certain connotation for the general audiences.

The first Boondock was sick! Did you catch the documentary, "Overnight"? It basically shows the entire process from how the "Boondock" script got picked up to how the movie was blacklisted right before major release.

Yeah it's one of those I'm sure I wouldn't like as much now, but back then it was the shit.

terry gilliam directed it. I remember being a bit freaked out the first time when I was around 5 or so cuz of when some of the people get turned into pigs and especially when that dude gets his arm ripped off during the arm wrestling contest, haha.

gilliam makes some pretty good flicks... i'd kinda describe his work as tim burton on acid. "Fear and Loathing" and "12 Monkeys" rock!

Re: Favorite Movies.

Cohen Brothers--Big L, O brother, Barton Fink, Miller's Crossing, and RAISING ARIZONA (not to mention Lady Killers, which I liked...)

Terry Gilliam--Time Bandits, 12 monkees, but especially Brazil

Movies written by Charlie Kaufman--Being John Malcovitch (sp?), Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind--all KILLER scripts.

For Spike Lee, I really like Clockers and Summer of Sam...

Godfathers 1 and 2, Apocalypse Now (the original film, not the endless director's cut), Jaws, Third Man, Casablanca, To have and have not, Maltese Falcon, Young Frankenstein, The Philadelphia Story, Destry Rides Again, Duck Soup, Some Like it Hot, etc. etc.
