Very often, I find that people who criticize the team are called bandwagon fans. My point was to illustrate that if this was the case, then why are they here? They wouldn't waste time posting at a fan site complaining about poor performances if they are bandwagon fans. That statement can in no way be an indictment of those that refrain from bitching and moaning after a suck-ass preseason. I wouldn't say that those who dismiss the preseason don't care ... living in La-La Land maybe, but sure, they're caring people. |

Beleive me I am well aware of what a true fan is, and many of them are labeled bandwagon/fairweather because they're not verey familiar with the history of the team and piggy-back on others who do. True fans "STAY loyal, dedicated, and committed to the team regardless, and don't flip-flop all over the place just depending on how the team performs from time to time. I'm not suggesting in any way that you're one of them, but the area is full of them and it's been that way for a long time. |

Re: This is pissing me off!
I agree with GW, why game plan for a pre season game with people who are not going to be here next week? Save that stuff for this week coming up for the vets and rookies that will be on the team....

Re: This is pissing me off!
The team isnt really concerned with preseason. Week1 is when they can go out and perform when it counts.

Re: This is pissing me off!
honestly they looked better tonight. with scabs on the starting OL we could still run somewhat effectively. frost looked better, but i'd rather have koch, and i wish we had taken him.
archuleta looked terrible though, he got beat for 39 yards, 15yard (TD), and a couple other big plays. might as well make him a linebacker. doughty mised the game entirely cause his wife was giving birth. I wonder if he had already claimed a spot, or if he's risking his chance... |

Re: This is pissing me off!
Guys, I am going to throw this out there to see if any of you feel like I do right now as we wait for September 11. The excitement and anticipation that I had around the end of July, was almost totally crushed this last month watching our ineptitude during the preseason. I reeaaallllly hope Saunders and company know what they are doing, because if we had been watching a Spurrier coached team this past month, I would say we would not win a game this year! I know we are all full of optimisim, but really how do you guys feel after watching our terrible preseason?
I wonder how the optimism and the "wait and see" attitude on this board will change if we lose to Minnesota next week. |

Re: This is pissing me off!
If we were watching a Spurrier coached team this past month we'd be 4-0, who are we kidding.
This staff knows what they're doing. I don't understand why people can even have a hint of doubt. |

Re: This is pissing me off!
Matty, I guess I have doubts because while this is a Joe Gibbs coached team, it is an Al Saunder's coached offense, and in our effort to be vanilla and not show anything....... we have succeded. It is a double edged sword. We didn't give away anything and we didn't do anything. What is Preseasn for in the Redskins camp anyway?

Re: This is pissing me off!
a hint of doubt might come from the fact that saunders' offense is complex. i don't think it will hold us back much but it's something to consider.
why don't some of you number people dig up his preseason numbers in KC. also, find out the chiefs regular season record his first year as OC there. |

Re: This is pissing me off!
I am thinking more like 17 to 13 us with the defense putting a touchdown up for us. I think the offense is going to take some time to come around. I just dont think gibbs and saunders are just going to flip a switch and the offense is going to come out firing on all cylinders.
