Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
i think this is a minor speed bump...last year we had a 2 and 3 game losing streak...this weekend both sides of the ball will look sharp and gain much needed confidence back...and then its on!!! SB XLI

Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
If you count our last playoff lost, pre-season, and the first two weeks, we're on a seven game losing streak.

Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
Yea i understand what ur saying...and Brunell hasnt thrown a TD since Jan 14th at seattle...but the only losses that matter right now are Dallas and Minn...and we will bounce back...i honestly think we should take a page out of SD's playbook...85 rushes 47 passes with 33 completions... give portis 20-25 carries...ducket 5 betss 5...then let Brunell or Campbell sling it...defenses wont know whats up or down.......its working for them...so why not us...we have better receivers for when we do pass!!

Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
Just about every team in the league schemes to place their player/talent in the best position to make plays. That is what a game plan is all about.
The Redskin coaching staff over the last 2 games has not put together a valid game plan for the talent on this team. |

Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
Not sure if everyone remembers, but our offense truly sputterred at the end of the season... at the end of that winning streak (the philly game I believe), our offense wasn't scoring much. Our defense carried us again- taylor had a few key touchdown runbacks in a few games. Shoot, we would have lost to arizona if it weren't for antonio brown's kickoff return.
When Saunders was hired, everyone was excited- remember, this is a pretty complex offensive system... don't expect KC numbers instantly. |

Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
I was thinking them...just wasn't around to say them. The third year in a system is a critical year. We had finally established the power running game, and now had 3 speedy receivers to get downfield. We didn't need Saunders, yes I was excited, but I also believed our team was better suited for Gibbs offense.

So you have our beloved coach JG to thank. He made that call obviously because he thought it was for the betterment of the team. Had he not felt that way I doubt he would have made the move. |

Rome wasn't built in a day. And while we all see the continuing struggles of the Redskins offense it's not related, its a new year with all new struggles. Some of the symptoms may be the same, but once Portis gets right I think we'll see the rebirth of cool around here. By the way, I'm new to the DC area, where is a cool place to watch this Sunday's game in the Springfield-DC area? Preferably Metro accessible... |

Is it possible that Brunell misses Bill Musgrave?

Re: Coaching Issue (I Hate to say it)
Gibbs offense, Saunders offense, whatever! If the QB can't get the ball to the receivers then what difference does it make? It's the same ole shenanigans when it comes to the offense, we barely get by!! The only reason we're not winning this time around is because our defense stinks! We won quite a few games last year because our defense kept our opponents within striking range. Hell, we've already given up more points to the Cowboys in one game this season than in both games combined last season. Oh, and how many third down conversions did the Vikings get? The offense is the same fella's, it stunk last season and so far it stinks this season; adding Al Saunders is only going to help things in the long run, assuming the players we have can execute his proven strategy.
