Re: It's not over yet!
It'd be nice to remember how to win just one game before we think about anything else.
We'll be pumped for Dallas. Like it or not, though, there will be a lot of people booing if Brunell starts off slowly. Let's hope he can hit a long one early on and set the tone.

Re: It's not over yet!
If the coaches look at the situation this week/next and read it right they see a great opportunity for Jason Campbell to get a home game under his belt with a weak team on the other side of the ball.
Worse case scenario for me would be Brunell starting and sputtering, Collins coming in and the game being a loss. Give Campbell two weeks to gamplan for the Cow-Whores and let him rip them up. Of course you tell the media that Brunell will start. |

Re: It's not over yet!
Biggest problem is team chemistry. It's a freakin mess right now. Egos are burised, players are pissed off.... it's a disaster...

Re: It's not over yet!
Hess you've got a point. I've always had a problem with the word "chemistry". I don't understand why players have a hard time just goin' out there and doin' the fuckin' job they are paid so handsomely to do! It just baffles me  HAIL from MCUSA!

Re: It's not over yet!
because nothing in life is ever more important than motivation, and going out and fighting for each other is much more meaningful than going out and fighting for a pay check you've already cashed.

Re: It's not over yet!
If we had Peyton Manning we'd be undefeated! Peyton would utilyze our receivers. Of course we could say that about a lot of teams, but point is, Brunell is killing us. It is not motivation...we obviously have fire, but it's not clicking.

With our defense, I really doubt it.

Re: It's not over yet!
I understand the thought, but I would wager the defense is let down by the offense. When the offense scores, the defense gets excited and would play better. It must be annoying to know if you let up 2 tds the game might be over.

The defense is the one that has given up first drive scores in almost every game it seems. Also, the Skins were leading 14-13 at the half last week, only to see the D hand out TDs like candy in the 3rd quarter. So maybe the offense is the one that's depressed? |

I just believe that our biggest problem on offense (byfar) is Brunell.

Re: It's not over yet!
A bad fan is one that thinks this season is not over! A bad fan is one that, as a lot of you are, thinks we are good enough - year after year you think it - to win the super bowl. Face it, we are an 8-8 team, at best, with Mark Brunell as the quarterback. Luckily, our defense played out of their minds last year and got us to the playoffs. The defense and running game definitely masked a lot of the problems that were going on last year. It certainly came to a head in the playoffs though.
There are way too many problems right now, which I believe starts with the coaching staff. For god's sake, there should be a mutiny right now calling for Gibbs' head if he doesn't start Campbell and feed Portis, Betts, and Duckett all day long. Campbell should throw 20 times. 10 to Moss, 4 to Randle El, 2 to Cooley and 1 to Brandon Lloyd. Other than that, pound the g'damn ball! |

Re: It's not over yet!
if we lose at home to Dallas, after a bye and two straight losses.....
there's no way i see this team recover mentally. it would take a Jason Campbell to spark any kind of spirit left this season.

Re: It's not over yet!
It's true, but only because we are losing. One win would go a long, long way. Just watch.

If our D had been as good as it was a year ago, we would have won that game anyway, IMO. It just illustrates how far they have fallen.
