T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting

The fact of the matter is when you are constantly making a spectacle of yourself, you put yourself under a magnifying glass and that magnifying glass is going scrutinize the good AND the bad. No one put a gun to T.O's head and said do sit ups in your driveway for the press, say McNabb was tired during the Superbowl, insinuate that Jeff Garcia is gay - the list goes on and on. Sure players probably doze off in meetings but the ones that get away with it are the ones that aren't screaming "Look at me!!!" every five minutes.

No no one put a gun to his head, but the the media follows him to his house constantly harassing him and when he does answer questions what do they ask him? Questions that insinuate bad qualities about his character. Listen to the questions they ask him most of the time, he just answers them truthfully to the best of his ability from what I hear. I mean some of the things he says may be offensive to people but the only thing I see wrong with what he says is that he doesn't know when to be PC on everything. Pretty much everything he has been criticized for has been something someone has suspected and asked him about and when he answers it he gets crucified for saying what he thinks. He doesn't fabricate crap to 'shake things up'. I don't think he is a bad guy and he has said some things that would have been better left unsaid but he isn't how the media has chosen his image to be shaped. And this 'Look at me' stuff you are talking about is just untrue. Just because the media chooses to show him all the time doesn't mean he asks for it. Guys who create spectacles every week to get attention are players like Chad Johnson.

and chad johnson is goofy, TO is malicious, surely you can tell the difference. if not - which one was ready to throw down when his QB got hurt, and which one called one of his QB's gay an the other one tired?

TO didn't outright call Garcia gay, he was asked a question and answered it, I don't even think it was a big deal I mean Garcia denied it and that should have been that. And McNabb being tired I think may also be true, someone was dragging ass in that SB and it certainly wasn't TO. It's not right for TO to say some of the things but his intent is only as malicious as the many other players in the league who have also said bonehead things. TO's comments are just always blown out of proportion. I don't understand where all the hate comes from.

If you don't understand why T.O. is "misunderstood," then you are definately drunk. Incidents involving T.O. get blown out of proportion because he has such a LONG history of causing controversy, including screaming at coaches, causing fights in locker rooms, throwing teammates under the bus at every turn, acting like a fool in the endzone, falling asleep in team meetings and the list goes on and on. Any one of these incidents isn't such a big deal, but his football "rap sheet" is a mile long.

You, my friend, are losing credibility. You seem to be the protoypical black/white and right/wrong poster; there is not room for grey. Brandon Lloyd is the worst receiver ever, T.O. has done nothing wrong, etc. Ridiculous stuff man.

Very funny but not too big of a deal. I mean i fall asleep in class and i think it is the same thing. I do find it funny he is crediting it to a disorder. Also this wouldn't be a big deal if it was anyother player. I can't believe they got a quote from jerry jones. If it was anyother player they would never ask the owner about it.

Aww, come on Matty..TO is just misunderstood. Why would you think he is a spotlight seeking, cancer that will wreck every team he is ever on? I mean, everyone is entitled to a little rest. It shouldn't matter to his coaches or his TEAMMATES that he gets his rest at the expense of the team. How harsh.

I am sick of these high paid crybaby attention seeking pieces of crap continue to show their a$$. Damn. Go out there and play football and shut up. THAT'S what they pay you for.

No it was a mistake. Wasn't the first time a player has gotten penalized for it though, under the ridiculous new rules of course.

hey rexi, what do you have to say about the dropped balls by owens today? pretty much cost the cowboys a win. a very high priced receiver like owens shouldnt keep dropping balls. maybe on the downside of his career?

TO was sleeping during the the part about catching an easy TD pass. Of course, it's a classic "eye for an eye" what with Keyshawn dropping an easy TD catch against Dallas last week.

The question is: Will someone comment about that catch thus ensuring a pissed-off TO? We still need the NFC teams (all of them) to lose as much as possible......That will go down as one of the biggest understatements of the year.

Yeah it was a bad drop, TO has never been great at catching over the shoulder and his hands aren't the softest. I wouldn't say it cost the whole team a win though he should have made the play the team lost the game. The Cowboys need to draw up more WCO style slants to utilize TO's abilities to the fullest IMO.
