I thought you wanted to build through the draft?

Kearse is changing careers? No longer has time for the NFL. He must be going on the "Pro Bass Tour" as he was in Fort Myers the other day for the much anticipated opening of the new FM "Bass Pro shops".

Re: Jevon Kearse

We do need a pass rushing end still, but the last thing this team needs is another big dip into free agency. They need to work on gelling the changes they made last year rather than another reshuffle. It's no coincidence that since Snyder came aboard the years when the Redskins have done the best are the years that that took it easy in free agency.

Kearse? I really do sometimes wonder about the IQ level in here.

Well, now that we've kind of gone through the options, I don't see why we SHOULDN'T take a chance on a DE with our first round pick. I mean what else would we use it on?

Corner or safety?

Re: Jevon Kearse

DBs are weak this year, there's 2 fairly safe picks at DE and a safe LB (posluszny) that would both address needs. honestly if you want to ensure a true #1 CB, clements is the way to go, though he'll be REAL expensive :/. I guess we could go OT with our #1, but i'd not so sure jansen is done yet, despite some counter opinions...

I'm assuming we'll sign Clements if it's not "too" steep. Safety might be a good bet.

I don't know if he's done quite yet, however, I think we should look at some low round talent on the offensive line.

Well, then again PRAY-low will be back and GW likes Reed too, so who knows.

yeah, i wish we took spencer or jhari last year, but we traded up... 3-4th rounders at OL are still pretty safe picks. after that you start running into some serious problems with strength or ability. I don't know the day two guys well enough to give names for 2007 yet.

Re: Jevon Kearse

Springs is no spring chicken and Carlos is average at best...look for the Skins to draft a corner. And if there's a really good DE in the draft, I have no doubt that they will trade to get him too.

trade what?

we have a 1st and that's it for impact. the CBs aren't all that amazing in the draft (good, but no one's freakishly good), and DEs are deep with a couple real impact guys (gaines/moses), so it'd make more sense to look at clements since he's proven, and draft DE, which is deep and probably won't have a stud FA.

i don't mean to put down hall or mccauley, but if it's clements + gaines or hall + ???, i know which way i'd vote .

Trade the future, I mean that's what we have been doing all these years. I don't follow college football much so I wouldn't know they should go after but one thing is for sure, DB and DE are our biggest priority.

I forgot about him. Is he younger?
