I think Vince would roll over in his grave if he knew people were spelling his last name Lumbardi, and not Lombardi

Year three comes, and a few parts of the team unexpectedly fail, star RB gets a fluke injury and is never right, QB has trouble in a new system, and defense unexpectedly struggles. Team takes a step back. You are saying in any other city this coach would be fired after one off year? No way. This is what Snyder would have done in the early years, but franchises that operate that knee jerk are usually perpetual losers.

schotty went 8-8 and got fired, and he didn't need to overspend like crazy for some good players and a bunch of bad ones too.

Can you name one player who was broaght on the team by Marty who a) is still here or b) Didn't suck much worse than the players he let go... He ran Deon, Ray Rhodes, Monte Coleman, Kenard Lang, Tre Johnson, Mark Carrier, Larry Centres out of town and brought in Kevin Locket, Rod Gardner, McCants, Tony Banks drafted Smoot who had 1 good year here and his diamond in the rough was Antonio Peirce who he never played. I think Wynn is the only guy who survived he alienated the owner ... Marty was not god he just thought he was ... geeze get over it already |

Re: 10 Guys Who Have Worn Out Their Welcome (from cnnsi.com)
Firing Marty for Spurrier???????????? yeah great move. Marty ball was perfect for the personnel we had, however, I am aware of Stephen Davis' injury bug, which would have hurt....but still, to close out a season like that and get fired......WOW. I know it's an old outdated subject.

Re: 10 Guys Who Have Worn Out Their Welcome (from cnnsi.com)
Schottenhiemer sucks... he sucked when he was here he sucks in San Deigeo... he is intensly diliked by players and fans it is just his brand of football somehow wins a bunch of non important games possibly because he gets to play the likes of the Raiders and the Chiefs twice a year.
Didn't Gibbs lose to the Raiders and Chiefs last year? Can you name one player who was broaght on the team by Marty who a) is still here or b) Didn't suck much worse than the players he let go... Gardner, McCants, Smoot and Peirce played pretty well with the Skins He ran Deon, Ray Rhodes, Monte Coleman, Kenard Lang, Tre Johnson, Mark Carrier, Larry Centres out of town You are kidding? All but Centers were either Old or over rated.
