I don't want Collins OR Brunell. I'd like us to take a late round QB as a just-in-case and get a cheap vet elsewhere.

The TEAM got us there, and that includes a QB that made completions to pro-bowl MOSS!

Hessy, I love you but you've been drinking some serious cool aid.

I love Brunell, AND Wynn and all of the guys from last year that played well. It's a bad year this year. I know Campbell is now, but Brunell was a decent QB. Not perfect, but decent! .....

... I love my coolaid!

Re: WHat i feel the redskins should do for the offseason

-Move Springs to free safety, sign Gay or Clements as a starting CB
-Draft a stud DE or DT.. I don't watch college football much so I don't have any speficic suggestions.
-Try to re-sign Brunold to a lower cap #, if not cut him and keep Collins
-Cut AA after June 1 to minimize the cap hit
-Re-sign Duckett.. Sorry, I'm just not a Betts fan.. He just seems like he's all arms and legs and doesn't get anywhere..
-Streamline the coaching staff and their repsonsibilities.. Do we need an assistant head coach offense and defense, associate head coach-offense and an offensive coordinator? Make Saunders the offensive coach, Williams the defensive coach and let them run thier sides.

how can u move springs to fs, he cant even stay healthy at cb, fs is 40 times more physically . but its not 100% a bad idea . then we would need to starting cb if u move springs
WHO WILL BE THAT STARTING CB PAIN TRAIN?

Re: WHat i feel the redskins should do for the offseason

I have generally avoided these off-season threads 'cause, well, it's still IN season and, win or lose, I am going to enjoy these 16 weeks dammit. With that said -

Brunnell is here next year as the back up. Yes, carlosrodgers, Brunell's salary is 6.6 mill but his release fee is 4.3, so the net gain is only 2.3 million (and that's not even considering the likelihood of a renegotiation). While we could probably get someone as a street QB to come in, you completely overlook the fact that Gibbs loves Brunnell. He certainly is capable of managing the offense (not spectacularly but solidly) and provides the veteran back up Gibbs likes. We will probably get a 3rd string rookie/developmental QB.

So mark this one down - I'm with Hess on this one. No need to be insulting about the difference of opinion here. Clearly, when it comes to Brunnell, passions understandably get aroused.

Assuming we sign Clements or Gay.. Free safety isn't that much more physical than CB, they are the rovers, making plays down the field.. Strong safetys are the hitters (Reed, Polumalu, Lynch, Taylor) of the secondary..
