the way i look at it, we cut him, we still will need to get a solid special teams guy and it would be cheaper in that regard to just keep him. i doubt we cut him, unless he somehow restructures his deal to be more cap friendly for a cut, if thats even possible, or if he does a buyout like lavar

The real question is if Archuletta is worth 30 mill how much money S.Taylors agent will ask when it's time to sit in the table
You sure say you're sorry a lot.

By toasted I mean being totally out of position and nowhere near making a play. The secondary has settled down a bit since earlier in the year, it's probably no coincidence that AA is riding the bench.

Re: Adam Archuletta

he IS going to some team (if he leaves here)............to play. There must be a way to get something for him. He just hasn't worked in this scheme

I also think he'll be gone.

The fact that we paid him so much and he doesn't even see the field with the 30th ranked D speaks volumes. I think we'll dump him after June 1, take a ($2M) deadcap hit in 2007 and a ($7M) deadcap hit in 2008.

Man, if those are the actual cap figures, that will hurt. You live by free agency and this is an inevitable scenario.
Before we give up on him, I'd still like to see him try being an LB. I think he can't be much worse than what we have.

Re: Adam Archuletta

It's a disaster all round. And I'm willing to bet those are the right cap figures--Canuck lives in an igloo or something and spends all his time working on cap charts and hunting moose. Or that is my vision of him.

I wouldn't be surprised if we make some changes with our D coaches--maybe a new coach will figure out how to make something out of AA? Just a a dream...

Re: Adam Archuletta

I'd love to know how we could have misjudged his talent so much. I mean it's not like he was known as a good cover guy before. In fact he was pretty much regarded as a bad cover guy. Why the hell did we get him? What was the thought pattern on this one? Clealry they thought he would bring something to the table. What the heck went wrong.? He never looked totally inept before. Is he just struggling with the scheme or what?

Maybe they thought the corners would do the majority of the work leaving him free to stop the run. I don't think anyone anticipated having the worst secondary in the league.

Maybe try "Suck It!" instead. It tends to get people's attention, and lets them know you ain't no sentimental treehugger.

"wring way"? WTF? Are you saying the Skins suck? Go back to DallASS!

D'Boyz is alright in my book (for a Cowgirlz fan, of course!). I give you free pass to never apologize to me.
