As much as I hate roy he has the best FS stats this year. He has alot of picks and tackles. He deserved it this year.

Wow, that has to be one of the weakest NFC pro bowl roster I have seen in a long time.

p.s. I hope the NFC gets crushed in the SB and Pro Bowl.

Samuels is one of those guys most won't appreciate until he's gone and we're struggling to try to find a quality left tackle.

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl

Romo does not deserve to be in the pro bowl ahead of Michael Vick. Vick has played all season, he's got comparable passing numbers, and he set the ALL TIME rushing record for a QB. Not to mention he'll probably finish with 1000+ rushing yards. How can you overlook that? Romo over Vick = total BS.

Vick = garbage.

I'd rather see Romo.

Just a quick look at the stats on ESPN and instantly you can find like 4-5 QBs that are far more deserving than Romo.

Haha. Good argument.

From NFL.com

-Passing-
Romo: 183 of 276 for 2440 yards and 16 TDs with 10 INTs (98.4)
Vick: 187 of 354 for 2284 yards and 19 TDs with 11 INTs (77.9)

-Rushing-
Romo: 44 yards on 27 carries with no TDs
Vick: 990 yards on 116 carries with 2 TDs

I'd argue that both have been impact players for their teams, and have been major contributors to winning. However, Vick has started all 14 games, and Romo has only started in 8.

Judging by passing numbers alone, I'd probably send Romo. But, when you consider that Vick will have over 1000 yards rushing, it's a no-brainer. How can you discount the rushing yards?

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl

I just don't think half a season justifies a pro bowl selection, unless the stats are through the roof -- which Romo's aren't. Not to mention, Vick's passing stats would be better if his receivers could catch.

However, the big thing that stand out in my mind is: Vick will be the first QB to rush for over 1000 yards in a season, and he won't even make the pro bowl (with above average passing numbers).

I think Samuels deserves it. He' s had a good year. Most of us watch every single game and play. We're going to notice if he gets beat occasionally. Everybody gets beat occasionally. We should be grateful to have him.

Did Tony Romo beat the Saints? No. Did Jason Campbell beat the Saints? Yes.

We wuz robbed!!!!

Seriously though, is there a rule that says 3 QBs have to be picked? Couldn't they have just taken Brees and Bulger and used that 3rd QB position on another position instead? Because there aren't really three deserving NFC QBs this year

What about Vick's pathetic 52.8 completion percentage? He has just 2284 passing yards (163 per game), and then there's that very mediocre QB rating. He has the rushing yards, but that only goes to prove how one dimensional he is as a QB. He didn't deserve to get in last year and he certainly doesn't deserve it this year. Romo has more yards passing in 6 less starts and is only 3 TDs behind him!

Believe me I'm not a huge fan of Romo getting in based on just 8 starts, but it just goes to show how weak the NFC is regarding QBs this year. If McNabb hadn't gone down he would have been a lock.
