-we let ryan clark go, he was starting for the steelers this year. -we let walt harris go, he was starting for the 49ers this year. -we let omar stoutmire go, he was starting for the saints this year. -we let matt bowen go, he was starting for the bills this year. -prioleau got injured on the first snap of the year and was gone. -sean taylor isn't the guy to be lining other players up. -archuleta isn't a guy you want covering anyone. -vernon fox is a special teamer, not a good NFL starting safety. -carlos rodgers has serious issues with playing well 14 weeks this year, and even on his good days he can't catch. we don't have the horses, it's not just a scheme thing, its a serious personnel and depth issue. prioleau will help, rodgers MIGHT get a little consistency. our depth just isn't nearly as good as the last two years though. |

Re: That Guy Presents Freddyg12's First Free Agent Poll
I say they grab Freeney first and on the way home they pick up Nate Clements. Two days later Dockery leaves because we have no more money. Offseason over. Now we have two undersized DE's, but they can really really fly. Last step. Draft DT Alan Branch. The Dline would be unusual, but still a major strength. Sorry, but I'd take a big hole at left guard for that outcome. I'm also trying to do something a little demented a la Vinny Cerrato.

Re: That Guy Presents Freddyg12's First Free Agent Poll
freeney had like 3 sacks this year. if the colts don't jump out to a big lead, he is practically useless. this is my campaign to " just say no to freeney" now clements, i would like to see coming to Washington. but i voted to signing dockery. like chemistry rules in this league

Re: That Guy Presents Freddyg12's First Free Agent Poll
My guess is Nate Clements because of his familiarity with Williams's system, however I'd rather have Samuels. The reason I don't feel it will be Dockery is because he will be signed before he becomes a FA.

Re: That Guy Presents Freddyg12's First Free Agent Poll
this dockery fiasco seems too similar to the pierce scenario, where he wants to stay but ultimately doesnt get the deal signed. seems eerily similar and i have a feeling he will be gone. thats why i went clements

Re: That Guy Presents Freddyg12's First Free Agent Poll
[quote=skinsfan69;272198]Everyone thinks Nate Clemons is the savior. Isn't Buffalo going to try and keep him? I doubt they are just going to let him walk away and not get any compensation. Especially for a top NFL corner. They don't grow on trees. And if getting Clemons requires giving up picks then FORGET IT!
The Bills franchised him last year with the promise that they wouldn't do it a second time (my wife reads on the Bills all the time and follows them closely). There will be no compensation to give Buffalo. Mark |

Everyday this dosent get done, is another day closer to him not being here. I'm very worried at this point, I really thought we would have figured this out by now.

Re: That Guy Presents Freddyg12's First Free Agent Poll
I don't see Dockery being the first guy signed. I watched him get interviewed after a game and it really sounded like he was waiting to test the free agent market. I think that there is a good chance that he resigns, but he seems intent on finding out his value first.
For this reason, I see Nate Clemons being the first guy signed.
