Yep. I think the draft was kinda weak at CB that year. And, we all knew we weren't getting another Champ.

I am still hopeful that Rogers will breakout. Another thing to think of is that maybe Williams' scheme is something that takes more time for a CB to adjust to, than other schemes. From what I understand, he asks a lot from his CBs.

Uhhh...I never thought he was Champ, but I thought he was a lot better than he has played.

My point is: he still might be a lot better than he has played.

I'm not disagreeing and I meant to put that at the end of my post. That he's not a bust yet. He's still liable to get a lot better. I also don't think he's been garbage, just not very good.

What's the possible 2nd rounder? That trade blows without that 2nd rounder! I want all 4 of their 1st day picks for #6...according to the chart those 4 picks still do not equal the value of #6 but i would probably do that deal anyway.

Who kowns Rogers a year or so may be the best as well!

it is funny isnt it. ha-ha corner and o line are different and so is being the number 9 pick in the draft and a third or forth rounder. rodgers was playing 10 yards off the ball on 3 and 2 last year on a number of occasions. you are going to tell me that he can play corner in the nfl? no way, corners use their athletic ability which he has, and thier confidence which he lacks in order to be good. this kid has the potential to be good and i am rooting for him, but i am not going to give him any more slack. right now the kid is a bust, he hasnt played well, even when we went to the playoffs, there are a handful of plays in that seattle game which he could have made but didnt and tehy were game changing plays too...dont back him cause you like him, you must really see him produce before you back him, faith in a player will always let you down.

ask any coach what they thought of rodgers this year.....inconsistent and no confidence would be thier first things to say about him.

Again He was hurt for part of the season and Gibbs even said that this last weekend. Gibbs see something you don't and I believe he known a little more then you do. I do agree he missed a big INT in that Seattle game that may have change the hole game! I just don't don't give up on a guy after two season. To be fair he showld have been a third CB his first year not a starter and worked his way up but he was need right off the bat! This is not about faith its about getting after it and many NFL players hit it in thier thrid year. Is he a S.Taylor No but even Taylor didn't play up what he should of last season. NO one on D played well and that is a FACT! It's funny when a team can rush a passer with four down linemen we never complain about CB's or LB's! By the way Dockery was drafted in 03 and he didn't play well till the 06 season and if you can add that was four seasons before he came of age! So Rogers has aways to go to be a bust!

If we can get their 1st rounder and use it on Okoye (who has a ton of upside) and then also recieve their 2nd, 3rd, a possible conditional pick, and Bly for just our 6th, and then can trade Springs for a second round pick & 4th-6th round pick, they've gotta make those deals. Not only because the team doesn't have a good history recently other than Taylor to an extent with top 15 picks, and we have a lot of position that could use some youth injected into them. Not to mention also the vast difference in the cap space & signing bonus a player taken at Denver's spot would be from the player the skins r currently in position to take. I mean a potential 6 picks and a pretty darn good cb for just one pick with a high price tag and a player that lately has come off as not really wanting to be around here, that's almost a no brainer.

pete its not madden pal...they dont progress just because a year went by. the whole D did stink last year but hes never played good. even as a starter in his rookie year, he was getting picked on....explain the 10 yard cushion for me pete....and this whole thing about if i can count.....if you could read buddy then you would see i said nothing about what year doc was drafted in, i mentioned the round boss. the 9th overall pick and the 70 or 80th pick have different expectations....so please pete/carlos respond without mentioning the injury, it was hand not a leg or foot.....tell me why he consistently got beat the past two years....oh wait its because he had a broken hand. makes sense to any blind fan.

you'd have to waste the 2nd moving up in the first if you want okoye. he won't make it to 21.

Wow, the passion! You're right though, there hasn't been any explaination of the "auto-10" Rogers gave EVERY WR he's lined up against.

GW's only response was "we're working on it." he also has trouble timing the ball because he's trying to rea the WRs eyes instead of looking for the thing. that worked in college i guess, not so much in the NFL though.

Re: Redskins turned down Al Wilson!! plus great offer

i think it's still to early to say if carlose is a bust or not. his first year he was picked on some just for the simple fact that he was a rookie, it was either pick on springs or pick on the rookie, pretty simple answer to that one.
his second year he was thrust into being the #1 cb, which he was not ready for. he played well at times but for the most part strugled along with the rest of the skins defenders.
hopefully this comming season he plays much better, we'll see.
