Re: why? (do we want to sign everyone's garbage)

I dont mind bringing in Keyshawn for one year because we do not have a prooven fourth reciever. I would not offer him more than the leauge minimum but why not try to sign a solid possesion reciever cheaply. We do not need Dhani Jones but the chiefs let go of DE Hicks maybe we could pick him up because we have no depth at the position. Yes I know he is just as old and probobly at the same talent level as Wynn and Daniels but we could use the extra body. I wouldnt mind signing both Keyshawn and Hicks to cheap one year deals and replace them next year.

I hope we have a shot at DE Brown / Bears or Rucker / Panthers , should either get cut or we can work a trade for one . Brown could start for a few years ,,, Rucker could give us a nice pass rusher for a year ,,, or 2 .

It is easier however just to ignore the loose change because it's going to keep coming.
I love reading the post durn the season. One week the guys a stud, great team guy, great player and the next week the same person will be saying, he's a looser, sucks, cut his a$$, etc... Then the next week its back to studd and all that stuff.

Yeah, it is typical. I dont know I kinda hate offseason where everyone decides to be superbitch and post how they hate the Skins in every thread. It increases predraft and dies down only to rear its ugly head around training camp and fully expose in preseason.

All I know is we should spend more time scouting those Canadian colleges. They got some players up there.

Offseason boredom. Other that that, I can't explain the lunacy.

Yes, every run-first offense needs a solid 4th receiver.

I cannot recall a time since I've been a member of this forum, that a player whose name is recognized by most was released from a team, someone didn't ask the question, or make the suggestion we consider signing him. Some say we don't have anything else to talk about, well, it's not mandatory that we just have to have a topic to discuss, espically when the same topic is being discussed in other threads in different words, over and over again.

On the topic of players switching positions, or having the versatility to play multiple positions is nothing new to the NFL. We had a discussion of this topic when T. Wade was being considered for the move to LG from RT. In the past we were known for having players (espically on the o-line) capable of being able to switch positions. Raleigh McKenzie, played every position on the o-line. Russ Grimm played both G/C in several games for us. Jeff Bostic was a G. before moving to C, so in essence, the practice is not uncommon, it has been a practice around the league since I first began watching the NFL which was many years ago.

Very true, although sliding around on the O-line has got to be the easiest position switch in football. It's not like moving from safety to LB, QB to WR, or something like that.

One mans trash is another mans treasure. You never know when you're going to get a "diamond in the rough" type player. Plus why not bring them in? It can only help us not hurt us.

Right. Wasn't that the case with Marcus Washington? I don't think he was cut, but I don't remember him being the force that he is now.

Washington was no castoff, he was an outstanding LB he just wanted to get paid and the Colts weren't willing to anti up.
