Re: What to do with Springs??

I still maintain that Rogers' performance last year is WAY underestimated. He had a decent year. We can't judge his whole year based on the dropped INTs. They pissed me off too but in the end he played relatively well. He was not burned terribly often considering we had no pass rush. I suspect that had he caught half of the INTs he dropped no one would be so down on him. The dropped INTs just aren't enough to convince me he can't play. Yet.

Exactly. I would be very suprised if he turned in a similiar performance this year. In fact, I'd be suprised if any of the defensive guys turned in a similiar performance this year.

Re: What to do with Springs??

this is dumb. unless someone is ready to step up, springs is easily our best corner. why do anything with him other than start him at corner?

dropped ITs, getting beat every game, waiting for the guy to come to him and not going after the guy... I could have played better.

Well, it won't matter because you won't win.

Also, remember he has to play in the amount of games stated. An injury is NOT going to cost me this bet!

Thumbs up Re: What to do with Springs??

I agree on NOT moving Springs. When you have 2 dominate Safeties, your corners only have to worry about covering the underneath routes tight, leaving each corner the ability to bump their coverage & keep an eye on the QB.

If Landry plays anywhere near what they predict, Smoots, Rogers, & Springs will all look like Pro Bowlers.

Remember it's a TEAM sport.

Cool
