Garrard posted better numbers than Leftwich last year.

This has been coming down the pike for a while now. Going back to last season there were rumors of Leftwich getting shipped out of Jax.

I believe it was Dock Walker who predicted he'd be headed to DC....on a side note, man it feels good to be back, my computer sucked all summer long

I agree w/ you. If I were Atl. I would be on the phone right away to at least get him in there to back-up Harrington.

Re: Jags done with Leftwich

Honestly, I went to East Carolina when David Garrard played there and he was an absolute STUD! He has shown flashes in the NFL. When he was a free agent two or three years ago resigned as a back-up I was shocked. I thought he was good enough to get a starting job in the league considering you got guys like Joey Harrington, Charlie Frye, etc. I think the Jags are making the right move to start Garrard, the team plays better for him as well.

However, they shouldn't outright cut Leftwich, there is value to be had for him. I am not a proponent of his, nor to I want him on our team, but I would take him in a trade for the aging MB. I can see him going to the Vikings, Miami, Oakland, KC, etc.
