Re: Reche Caldwell
Lets learn something for once. We have already picked up Patriots crap before.. namely David Patten. There is always a good reason why they release there players. I have never seen a Pats player leave the Pats and do better in his new home. Bad idea, lets learn from our mistakes.

Re: Reche Caldwell
I think more than anything Caldwell got caught up in a numbers game in New England. They're pretty stacked at WR now with the additions of Moss, Stallworth and Washington, and they still have Chad Jackson who they just drafted last year who they are pretty high on.
Caldwell is a productive WR and he's only 28, I'd be shocked if the Skins didn't consider him. |

Re: Reche Caldwell
If he sucks then what would you call our 2nd and 3rd wr's? Lloyd caught 23 passes and ARE didn't do much better than that. Sorry but that is pathetic. If you look at his production last year he is MUCH better than anyone we currtently have at WR other than Moss. I would bring him in here right away. Put him on the practice squad and see how Lloyd and ARE do the first few weeks of the season.

Re: Reche Caldwell
You wouldn't be able to put Caldwell on the practice squad.

ARE, LLOYD, and MOSS are all better players, just had no one throwing to them.

Re: Reche Caldwell
If he had decent production then how does he suck? That makes no sense. If you catch 61 balls in an offense that really spreads it around then he must have done something right. Right? NE was one 1st down from making the SB and Caldwell would have been a starter on a SB team. As Matty said he got caught up in a numbers game. When you sign 3-4 guys that are more talented of course he is going to get cut. But he still is a decent WR and is just as good as anyone we have here besides Santana. If Caldwell sucks then ARE and Lloyd must REALLY SUCK.

Re: Reche Caldwell
well, ARE WON a superbowl, and brady throws the most catchable ball in the NFL.....i guarentee you that he would make taylor jacobs look good. I bet Lloyd was thrown to half the times that caldwell was. And ARE wasn't that bad last year, and he's looking pretty good in preseason....he's very versatile, which fits the saunders offense.

Re: Reche Caldwell

Rice is 33 I think, has recent injury problems, known as a prima donna who's more concerned w/his #s than the team, and was cut because he wouldn't take a pay cut. His team also drafted a DE in the 1st round. You do realize that Rice visited at least 3-4 teams over the course of a couple months before finally signing w/Denver? Seems that its not just the Skins that weren't interested in him. I'm glad we didn't even consider Rice, we should consider Caldwell. |

Re: Reche Caldwell
everyone seems to be in love with reche caldwell. I cannot comprehend. And simeon rice got a 1 year deal for 3 million....very affordable for a perrenial all-pro Defensive end. I think caldwell get's hurt too

Re: Reche Caldwell
I agree w/ you. We need help at DE in the worst way. But Rice and Carter are the same type of player. Neither can play the run. So why tie up a ton of $ in 2 DE's that don't play the run and play the same position? We need to get someone over on Daniels side.
