Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

Along with my earlier prediction of our VICTORY!

We will finally get a WR in the endzone for a long awaited TD! SM will be the first.

Redskins 12
Eagles 10

Smashmouth slugfest. UGLY game. Lots of turnovers.

1) Stop Michael Westbrook. This guy will destroy your defense. He is elusive on the run and can make big plays in the passing game. You have to key on him to run and cover him with a quick linebacker or safety.

2) Score touchdowns in the red zone. The Redskins have to convert more of their scoring opportunities to touchdowns. The wide receivers need to get the monkey off their backs and penetrate the end zone.

3) Put pressure on Donovan McNabb. Get after McNabb. Keep him off balanced and concerned about the pass rush. If it means blitzing, then do it. Drill his ass!

4) Run the ball downhill. The offensive line needs to control the line of scrimmage and allow the running backs to get to the second and third levels. Portis needs to hit the holes at full speed and finish off his runs. Betts needs to step up and be apart of the run game also.

5) Challenge the Eagles secondary deep. Jason Campbell needs to take a few shots deep and hit on at least one big play downfield. If the run game gets going, I want to see the playaction pass deep and not a check down to the fullback or tight end.

6) Win the battle of special teams. Need good solid coverage. Need a couple of big returns to set up the offense with easy scores.
Is Michael Westbrook beating up our starting rb again?

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

I predict a Skins victory but a low scoring affair something like 13-10. Our offense is just having a tought time right now and scoring 21 points or more is too much to ask now. Maybe when we get Randy Thomas back it will make a difference.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

I really feel great about this game for some reason, which I havent in a long time. At home against a team we've beat this season already, who really just is not very good. I think we win ANOTHER close one. 20-10.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

NFC East division rivalry games are never easy, especially when you have an aging team underperforming expectations amid numerous outside distractions. Sound familiar? The Eagles built a team that dominated for a decade, now their team is crumbling from the top down without a super bowl trophy. I expect this to be the final visit from McNabb and Reid to Fed Ex, at least while associated with Philly. Their defense still is intimidating, their strength is rushing the passer with cole & co., which matches up well with our inconsistent o-line play. Although Bugel seems to be motivating our patchwork offensive line to make serious improvement. The Redskins are making progress, and the eagles are regressing to the point that ‘re-building’ is necessary.

Redskins win 24-10.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

I haven't predicted a blowout (in our favor - NE) all season but I'm predicting one here. I could talk about the return of the real CP behind a resurging o-line as reason to believe. I could talk about this being the only home game in November. I could talk about Landry playing bigger and better each game. But I don't know if those are real reasons.

I just feel we're gonna pull together, for only the second time all season (Lions), on this particular Sunday: 33 - 10.

Hail!

Close game to the finish. Lots of D, no O. Sloppy.

Skins win 9-6 in OT on a 54-yarder from Suisham.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

Sooner or later Campbell will connect on those deep routes. This will be the game. To go along with our typical scoring thus far, I'm tacking on 2 more scores for a 31-13 Redskins victory.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

Skins win 18-14. Offense gives up a TD on an int return and the D gives up a late one but Suisham sets a new franchies record going 6-6.
