I'm talking about Gator busts from the last decade. If you want to go back as far as Collinsworth, then we can add Ricky Nattiel to the bust ledger.

Thanks for the history fellas. I was wondering why Caldwell didn't get on the field. In hindsight, it was probably good Gibbs/Saunders kept giving Moss opp after opp. Hopefully our playmaker at WR is on track for the next 6 games. HUGE DIFFERENCE WEEK TO WEEK! Just look how much more potent our air game was Sunday.

Even if this Mix kid just provides another big target in redzone/goal line, or even just a big distraction in those situations, he's worth it.

I'm a little suspicious.

Excellent size, good speed, but he's on a practice squad. What gives?

Something obviously lacks with this guy. Looks like the physical attributes are there - wonder if it's something that can be coached? Bad hands? Bad route running? Dumb as a brick?

Something's up. It's nice to see a big WR dressed in B&G though.

Maybe it's a sign that three of them have been battling what appear to be chronic injuries in recent weeks, and the other three are hardly starting material.

Taylor Jacobs a bust?! Have you gone mad?!?!

I think down the stretch they are going to loosen the reigns on Campbell. It was very impressive what he did against Dallas with a patchwork offensive line, and I think the coaching staff is starting to gain more and more confidence in him.

So they are probably going to let him pass the ball more and more.

And what better way to give a young talented QB confidence then to present him a VERY big target with which to throw to.

Sounds to me like they are trying to program Campbell for success.

Not often that I agree with stjack, but this is no sandtrap. We do have a patchwork O-line, no doubt.

Big thing on the college scout was work ethic--if he busts his tail here (and with JC riding him, he ought to), he could be good. The key is can he pick up the Hback position--that would be huge. Plus, he's gotta play teams.

Certainly can't hurt.

Re: Redskins Radio: Skins sign WR Anthony Mix

I watched him some in pre season and honestly I said who is this kid because he looked like he was a real problem for any CB inside the 10 yard line, my thought at the time was here's another Giants WR who can jump over the top of any of our CB's, he looked like he played hard, and was aggresive going after the ball.

One thing is for sure when we were at the 50 with time running out against Dallas, all I could think was to bad we don't have a WR who can go after a jump ball, he probably wont see a lot of time, but we just might see him when you need to just throw it up there and hope, I really like this signing.

Yeah, I had never heard of this guy but when someone said 6'5 230-something I was immediatly a fan. The guy really doesen't need to have great hands he can just reach up over everybody. Who knows maybe we will all see him sometime soon?

I read the whole article, the thing that struck me most about it was giants fan saying gibbs should retire

"The skins are getting older, not younger. They needed Mix more than we did for this reason. But the problem with the Skins is not it's team so much as it is their HC. As much respect as I have for Gibbs, he's a corpse and should retire. He has about as much life as is needed to drain that team of what energy they have left. I know this post is about Mix, but at the same time, I don't think the Skins will have a winning club until Gibbs retires. "

I am thrilled about the move...any time you can get someone that has chemistry with a young QB, it's a good thing. We'll finally have someone LARGE he can throw to. I am concerned about his work ethic and his lack of speed, but we don't need him to be amazingly fast.
From what I understand from a Giants fan friend of mine, he did very well in the preseason and was shocked he was released.
