So, based on your analysis of Campbell, another team is going to give us a high draft pick? If he stinks in the redzone, why would anyone trade for him? He's good between the 20s--so that is worth what--a second round draft pick? a third?

Given that the Skins have invested so much in Campbell--let's at least give him 30-40 starts before we ultimately pass judgement. And while we're at it--let's give him a few years with the same offensive coordinator. And maybe a relatively healthy O-line. And an average running game. Then we can adequately analyze Campbell before we start over with a new rookie QB...

Run relentlessely and score points in the red zone.

The guy has about a season's worth of starts under his belt and has shown promise and you want to get rid of him? Just out of curiosity, what are your general thoughts about Portis and Gibbs?

coach gibbs is a hall of fame coach with 3 super bowl titles. portis is fine. he rushed for over 1500 yards in 05. portis was injured in 06 and started 07 hurt. i'm not blaming everything that's gone wrong on cambell. but he's lost more games than he's won.

Look at Troy Aikmans first year as a starter. Carson Palmers as well. There are a ton of first year starters that struggle. Tom Brady's first year as a starter the Pats didn't make it back to the playoffs after winning the SB. Patience and a true Number 1 WR is what will make JC a household name. Everyone expects this team to be great overnight.

Re: What is our game plan for victory versus Chicago

Even though he's injured, but I think we need Mike Sellers back and playing...that's our running game right there...he can block...he's a good receiver and he opens up all kinds of holes for Portis...I also think we need to bench Wade and put Heyer in as starter...it seems he doesn't do a good job on blocking...hate to say it,but I think Doughty is doing a pretty good job so far...BUT he DEFINETLY ain't no Sean Taylor...he's got BIG shoes to fill...Mcardell is getting old but he's still a great possesion receiver...we just need to get a good ground game going against Chicago and Campbell needs to be accurate and make no mistakes and try not to kick it to the dangerous Devin Hester...as a DIE HARD Redskins fan I'm not giving up but the playoff picture is going to be a tight one...GO SKINS!

Another key to winning: Scoring points in the redzone.

Taking FGs within the 20 yard line is killing us score wise. Think 7 not 3!

Of course the irony is that the Bills had the same problem yesterday

LOL I can't believe someone wants to get rid of JC already. No, check that I'm not surprised at all. Just when you think you've heard it all, some idiot here will come out with an opinion that defies logic.

Everyone is always talking about the fumbles, blah blah blah, but I mean COME ON, he's NOT AN RB and if he's running for his life because the offensive line can't block for shit, I don't lay that on him.

Look, I like JC and all but the guy does have some fumble issues. It seems like every time he gets sacked he fumbles, it can get pretty ridiculous. You can't tell me that the fumble yesterday during the 3rd quarter was terrible. He didn't get the ball swatted out of his hand when he was going back to throw he had it tucked and he was going down!

My thoughts exactly. I read some of his posts and I just put my head down and started laughing. I will, however, admit that Campbell through some nasty balls yesterday though. I loved being at the game, because I got to look at the field and sort of see what Campbell sees.

( on a side note : I wish there was a way you could buy some package and get different views of the game. Maybe a QB cam or something. I can't wait for the future)

I just remember seeing too much cushion, and Campbell would glance over, make his read, and fire haphazardly. He seemed to get rid of the ball as quick as possible, and just over throw his receivers some time. He's got a gun, and has got to learn how to give a little more touch.

I also saw a few plays where he anticipated some of the routes perfectly (most notably a deep curl route by McCardell) and threw the ball before the cut was even made. The ball sailed perfectly and landed right as he turned back and looked for the ball. The execution gave me goosebumps.

Yeah, It's one thing if he's taking off and scrambling with the ball all flailed out, but he's basically getting bum-rushed from behind and losing the ball on sacks. He's a competitor, and he's trying to make a play. I'm not going to ostracize him for that.

Will the "He's an NFL QB, NO EXCUSES", argument hold ground? Sure. But let's yell at our o-line before we start going apeshit and demanding that he be traded.

Tom Brady won that SB in 2002 then they missed the playoffs and won in 04 and 05 and if I'm correct it was his 1st year with the team.

Re: What is our game plan for victory versus Chicago

How to beat Chicago?

1.) Do not kick to Devon Hester
2.) Do not turn the ball over on a short field

Look at the past few games of the Bears. Hester scores on kicks and punts, and the only scores the offense get are on a short field.

In the last 2 games the Bears have had ONE offensive drive over 60 yards. The other scores are from the Bear defense getting a turnover and giving Grossman a short field, or, some idiot kicker that kicks to Hester.

Sunday vs the Giants, take away the 3 turnovers by the Giants and the Bears only score 3 points.

Last weekend vs the Broncos, take away Hester and there are only 14 points on the board and 7 of those are from a short field.

1) do NOT kick to Hester
2.) Do not turn the ball over

By accomplishing steps 1 and 2 you force Grossman to be a QB, and we all know he is not!

Benson is OUT and that puts the game squarley in Grossmans hands.
