Re: Your MVP this year?
Todd Collins is the MVP of the year. He came in at the most difficult time of the season and converted our losing streak into a winning streak. If it wasn't for him, do you really think we will be standing at this playoff position today?

Re: Your MVP this year?
I'm fine with people thinking Todd Collins should receive MVP consideration, but I have a hard time giving it to him after four games.
Most of these guys have gone though gut wrenching losses for 16 weeks. And let's talk about injuries and the mental toll the season takes on one physically. If Collins get's sacked and knocked around for fifteen or sixteen weeks, is he still this proficient? Chances are, no. |

I think Todd Collins deserves alot of credit for the teams success as of LATE, but if we're talking about the entire season, then I think the offensive MVP is Portis. The reason why I pick Portis is because he's black. Oh yeah and he's the 3rd leading rusher in the NFC. He's also one of, if not, the best blocking back in the NFL. |

Re: Your MVP this year?
Great thread, and extremely tough choice if we're not doing Co-MVPs. If I had to pick one, I'd have to go with Cooley. If I could pick multiple folks, I'd go with:
Offense: Cooley Defense: Carter (could make a case for Sean Taylor despite his missing a third of the season and the rest of eternity) Special teams: Doesn't matter - Rock and Suisham have both been solid, but I wouldn't elevate either to MVP status. Collins doesn't get picked only because he didn't play the first three quarters of the year. In fairness, this team has had several MVPs. Can anyone honestly say Springs and Smoot haven't played like Pro-Bowlers the last few games? Portis too. Samuels? Montgomery? Fletcher? It is a testament to the team that its hard to single out one person as the MVP. |

Yes, a guy who has played in 3 of 15 games and played really well in 2 games is unquestionably our team MVP. Todd Collins has undoubtedly played lights out in the limited action he's seen, but to say anyone who puts guys like Portis above Collins is a racist is just dumb. Now onto serious matters.....I'm not sure that anyone deserves an MVP award. This TEAM has been struggling and winning as a whole. No one really stands out on either side of the ball. I sort of like it that way. In short, I can't think of an MVP. |

Re: Your MVP this year?
Agreed. And Landry has been unbelievable in terms of the number of key plays he has made. Saved the MNF game against Philly early in the year, saved the 4th and 1 against Adrian Peterson and the Vikes when they were gaining momentum, just to name a few.

Ever watch ESPN? How is it that Vince" the most overrated player in NFL history" Young is continually protected by the "white" reporters when any football fan knows the guy is complete trash? Ditto for Michael Vick and Mcnuttsack. Are white people racist against white people? Many are, partictularly those in the media, how else do you think things like affirmative action get passed? Because you area certain race does not mean you are not racist. Sorry. That makes zero sense. |

Re: Your MVP this year?
"No" as an absolute should always be followed by a period, never by a comma. I guess they didn't teach you that in the cardboard box you called a school? With the comma, you completely nullify and/or disagree with everything you say afterwards.
