Re: Congratulations Skins and Fans
Uhhhh.....Dallas sucks. End of story. Dont make excuses because thats all Ive gotten all week form the pithy Dallas fans in my area. If BiG D had won, all the shit you would be talking would be unbelievable. Just give it up and admit, the Skins stepped on your balls and crushed your playoff hope and dreams. The next team Dallas plays will probably beat the shit out of the them they way they are playing now.
Not good to be a Dallas fan.....

Re: Congratulations Skins and Fans
I'm just glad we go to dallas instead of Green Bay if we win. ROMO vs. FAVRE....hmmmmmm tough choice, I'll take the HOF guy.
Also Collins vs. Romo another interesting comparison. Veteran Collins with little in game experience vs. young Romo with two years experience but botched snap in '07.

1)We almost beat you at home at full strength, we didn't have ST, and you guys threw 4 deep bomb scores. All of your points. Dont expect it now with TO nursing an injury, and Laron Landry at short safety. 2) 27-6 is enough said. You played with much of your starters until your second set in the 3rd quarter. We kicked your excuse for a team's ass. 3) We are sprinting into the play-offs and improving every game. You guys are limping in, with 2 losses, and an almost loss to Detroit. If I were you, I'd pray the Seahawks get it done. If not, you shouldn't feel so confident; when Americas REAL team flies into Dallas.

Cowboys had Romo, Barber and Witten into the 3rd quarter. Dallas missed 5 starters, Redskins missed 6.

Pittsburgh: 2-3 in December Tampa Bay: 2-3 in December Seattle: 3-2 in December Indy: 4-1 in December, should mention that last season they were 2-3 in December and won the Super Bowl Patriots: 5-0 in December. But prior to clinching a playoff spot their average margin of victory was over 21 points per game. After clinching…10 points per game margin. (Just goes to show you that even with their “B” game they can beat you.) I am just saying that after a playoff berth is secured the #1 priority for teams is to remain relatively healthy. To do that teams cut the playbook in half and play relatively “safe” football. I have to say that I am glad to see the mood on this site improve. And at the risk of sounding condescending, I have to say I am proud of the Warpathers. Why it was just 3 weeks ago there were countless threads on how “the season was over”, “forget about the playoffs” “who do we draft”. You had several fans here that wrote of their team. And you know the ironic part of the whole thing? Myself and Giantone were 2 of the BIGGEST supporters of the Redskins during that time! Look at our history of posts and you will see what I mean. We never wrote the Skins off, but many of your own fan base did. I know if you searched my post history you will find several posts of mine and Giantone that stated how well the Redskins do historically in December, and how it was predicted that the Redskins would get that final Wildcard spot. However as a fan of my team I never have lost faith in my Cowboys. They will rumble in the playoffs, of this I am sure. Some here say I “should be worried”, but I will let you worry for the both of us, because I am not worried in the least. Redskins WILL BEAT Seattle and it will be back to the good old days when the Redskins come to Texas Stadium with a trip to the NFC Championship on the line. You could not write a BETTER post season scenario than that! |

Re: Congratulations Skins and Fans
You Dallas fans make it sound like the Cowboys lost on purpose. You make it seem like there was no incentive for them to win. Personally, I think that's worse than just playing hard and losing.
Dallas has a better team, IMO. They have better players, and they have executed more consistently this year. However, they have lost their momentum. They fell face first, and they did it with their starters. I don't care what is said, there is no way that's a good thing, and there's no way anyone can convince me that it isn't a bad thing. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves.

Re: Congratulations Skins and Fans
If I were a Dallas fan I would be concerned with the way they have played recently. I wouldn't be worried, but definitely concerned.

Re: Congratulations Skins and Fans
If I was a Cowboy fan, and I'm NOT, I would be very worried that my team backed into the playoffs. Ideally you want your team playing good football going into the playoffs. The last three weeks, the Cowboys have looked bad. You can blame it on injuries or lack of incentive, either way, it's just an excuse. The reason the Cowboys played most of their healthy starters deep into the third quarter is because they are trying to get back to playing good football. Winning the Redskin game wasn't that important, but playing well was. The Cowboys are in trouble and their fans know it. Until they start producing on the field there is that worry that they may have peeked early. The Packers are in the same boat. In the NFC, the Skins and the Giants are playing the best ball. We will see if the Cowboys and Packers can turn it on again. Stay tuned!
