Maybe its because i'm not a Bucs fan, but I could never imagine myself wearing one of those jerseys. Surely someone got the word around how hideous they were and the changes were made, but I don't see that happening with us. If theres a skins fan here who hates our uniforms SPEAK UP!

The Rams changed their uniforms AFTER they won the Super Bowl.

Agreed, sfredskin. No change is necessary. Maybe it's just the nostalgia factor but I LIKE the old Bucs and Pats unis.

if it aint broke dont fix it...i will say this however..i like how they bring back the old uniforms..the throwbacks.. the yellow pants..with yellow helmut! or the spear from a few years back! im ok with that every couple of years! i like the old school look.but other than that i love of uni's

Well.....I didn't expect to ruffle so many feathers with this thread. I was just looking for something to debate. Would new unis look pretty cool? Yes, but I may have to retract my statement and just stick with tradition. I am big on tradition. I guess I looked at some of the other successful teams and saw the weird comparison between new unis and success. If any Skins fan was offended, my bad. Go Skins!!!!

The current uniforms are our new uniforms from the old yellow pants and burgundy jersey's. So as you can see we are winning with our new uniforms.

The uni's should never change.
The name will never change. F the PC police. They need to focus on things that are actually worthwhile. Not the respected name of our football team which has no negative meaning what so ever as it is used, or has been used since 1933.

MPNRedskins, there is no reason why you should retract your statement. Your opinion is your opinion. I love the current uniforms, but saw them win in the 80's wearing them and am very partial to them. Many of the younger fans would like to see them in new uniforms. I'm not saying all of them, but many of them.

You also shouldn't have ruffled anyone's feathers, this is a message board and it is a valid discussion, albeit it has been discussed before.

I don't want a thing to change with our uniforms. I love the colors, and I love the helmet. I did like the 70th anniversary helmets, though. But, I can't see the Redskins ever changing their helmets unless it's a very small change.

I definitely don't see the team moniker changing anytime soon. I'm tired of this politically correct BS.
