Re: Chad Johnson?
Thats what people have said about Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. And their new teams took chances with them and they had amazing results. If he's relatively cheap, i would take the chance...

Re: Chad Johnson?
those two examples also show how huge of an impact a dynamic wideout can have on an offense.

Re: Chad Johnson?
I'd love to have a big time WR like him, but I don't see it happening.

Re: Chad Johnson?
CJ maybe a distraction but not the negative type that rips apart team cohesion. If he opts out of his final year he will not come cheap because he knows a lot of teams are going to come knocking on his [agents] door.

Re: Chad Johnson?
Out of all the big WR which are decent I like him the best. He reminds me of a taller Portis. In Denver Portis was outlandish and outspoken. Heck he still is here. He is respectfull about it though. I could see CJ here and I bet he would fit in well with the other 30 somethings. lol. It would be nice to have a big rookie WR but he would have to adjust to the speed and routes. CJ has been in the league. He wants out of Cinci. He knows this offense is a passing offense. He has the speed of the game down and will be able to learn a new offense quicker then a rookie. Although I would like to see us draft a big rookie also to develope under CJ or perhaps Mix is that character.

Re: Chad Johnson?
Chad Johnsons is a baller but he's going on 30, will require $$$, and he still has to have a good QB throwing to him to be effective.

Re: Chad Johnson?
He just needs a half decent QB throwing to him. His QB has been hurt recently. Also if there is any issues we still have that QB's brother on lay away to make him feel at home. lol.

Re: Chad Johnson?
I can't see Cincy releasing him unless they got real cap problems or are writing off the 2008 season.(a new coach might factor in this). Some team will give at least a 2nd round pick for him. The money needed to grab him will be too high and our cap space is need to shore up the Defensive line. I did't think ARE had a bad season at all and I am hopeful that Moss will shake whatever injuries were bugging him this year.

Re: Chad Johnson?
Washington is a Good fit for Him too, cause if you wanna get Paid you come to Washington. The upfront money is totally there and Who cares if they have to restructure the deal every year because of all the upfront money they get,Good fit I say.

Re: Chad Johnson?
The Skins could use a big, TALL, heavy duty, reliable wide receiver. I doubt that the Bengals would release or trade him [remains to be seen]. After watching Randy Moss with the Patriots this year, I not so dismissive of Chad Johnson, or of Keyshawn Johnson if he hadn't retired and signed here.
My Bias [full disclosure]: the wide receivers as a group were the biggest let down in the offense this season. Both quarterbacks played better than they did. |
