Yeah, I'm a little worried about that too.

Something else I can see happening is AS getting the job and GW leaving because he thinks it won't happen here so he has to look elsewhere. The only option for Snyder, if continuity is of any significance, is GW. Anyone else and the whole coaching staff gets blown up.

I really don't see Saunders getting the job. It will be Williams or someone from the outside.

I see GW getting the job. He will have more than 1 year, worst case if he has a middle of the road first year. Which I DO NOT expect, he will do much better than that IMO. He will be given several years to get it right. Not another ONE and DONE, no Martys, I think Dan has learned something over the last 4 years.

Re: Dick Vermeil

It's true that Williams' stint in Buffalo was less than stellar but many coaches have struggled in their first tenures. Bill Belichick anyone?

Re: Dick Vermeil

No disrespect to Coach Gibbs here but realistically gibbs was "out of the picture" kinda once Al Saunders came in.

Coach gibbs was the middle man for the offense with the power of veto over saunders but for the most part i believe Gibbs took somewhat of a back seat to the play calling once Saunders came in.... I think this is obvious with the 5-11 season in 2006 (saunders 1st year) So in reality, the point i'm trying to make here is: Saunders offense has proven to be effective I believe this is evident in the last 4 regular season games. Cambell went down (Gibbs "boy") and Collins came in (Saunders "boy") and tore it up. Gregg's "D" has also proven itself to be effective so I think that Gibbs decided that it's time to take his bottle of gule home with him because he's done his job and "glued" this team together. Gibbs is a brilliant man and I really don't think we'll see the fruits of his labor until next year and beyond.

I can see this as well. IT makes sense too, unfortunately. Gibbs will likely contribute his most input as a consultant/advisor in this next year, but after that he'll be back to his old life & probably not as involved. DS may at that point revert to his impatient ways.

I agree, good coach, but a real spook. I'm pretty sure he has ties to the NSA.............or the UNIbomber

I'm afraid you may be 100% right. Especially the part about DS.
