North 4, Row T, Seats 22 & 23
I considered doing the package deal, but didn't want to commit going to the HOF game yet. My husband is from the Cleveland area, so we'll be staying with his family. Yay for free room and board! |

Re: Canton: Who's going?
Maybe we can do that whole shot deal like last time...one shot for every game on the streak?

Re: Canton: Who's going?
Thought this thread needed to be back at the top. 10 days to go! I cant wait. A mod needs to start a new thread and keep editing it to let us all know where people are staying, and what events they are going to, and if they know where they are sitting. Anyone want to volunteer?
Im staying at the Schoenbrunn in New Philadelphia and I am arriving Friday afternoon and leaving monday when they kick me out of hotel. I got the fantasy football package through sportsandtravel tours and will be attending: Saturday, August 2, 2008 Timken Grand Parade Enshrinement Celebration Fan Party Enshrinement Ceremony Sunday, August 3, 2008 Enshrinees GameDay Roundtable Fan Appreciation Tailgate Party NFL Hall of Fame Game (Indianapolis vs. Washington) Green Zone (between the 20's) Sideline Stadium Ticket to the NFL Hall of Fame Game Im so ready! Anyone staying at my hotel? |

Re: Canton: Who's going?
My brother and I are going. Not sure where our tickets are (he's handling it). Since it was a last minute thing, our hotel is apparently just barely closer to Canton than it is to D.C.
Probably spend Saturday in Canton for the enshrinement. When's everyone going to do the HOF tour thing?

Re: Canton: Who's going?
I'll be there Friday to Monday, I'm staying right in Cleveland.
The package I got includes: Saturday: Timken Grand Parade Enshrinement Celebration Fan Party Enshrinement Ceremony Sunday: Enshrinees GameDay Roundtable Fan Appreciation Tailgate Party Hall of Fame Game Hey does anyone know if any players will be out and about in Canton and/or at the Hall? Just wondering if I should bring along a pen and something to sign in case I bump into someone. |

Re: Canton: Who's going?
I haven't been since they introduced the new format, but there were always players around during the fan party.

Re: Canton: Who's going?
I'll be there. My cousin originally booked tickets for him and his son but it turns out he will be out of the country because of work that weekend so my dad and I gladly stepped in to make sure the tickets and hotel room don't go to waste.
We're staying at the Knights Inn, which from the looks of it on line is a little shithole right outside of Canton. We'll be there Friday through Monday. I have no idea where we're sitting for the ceremony, but I think it's in the grandstands. As for the game, we'll be sitting in one of the endzone, 5 rows up. In hindsight, I should have done one of the package deals, but I'm just pumped to be going.

Re: Canton: Who's going?
Anyone else hear that Portis won't be playing in the HOF game? So now he and Manning, the two guys on the tickets will be in street clothes for the game, I'm sure the NFL is pumped about that.
I can't say I mind though, I want CP to avoid as much contact as possible this preseason so he's fresh come September.

Re: Canton: Who's going?
More than anything, I'm excited to see the rookies and a glimpse of the new offense.
