Personally I would love to see this happen. That's WAY too much to give up for McFadden.

Re: NFL.com Report: Dallas Cowboys Going After Randy Moss
Sounds like a great Madden lineup but realistically I'm not sure how Moss and TO would work out. I think the universe might explode by bringing those two together.

D. Hall is already pissing and moaning about his name being mentioned in potential trades. We don't need his shitty attitude here.

Re: NFL.com Report: Dallas Cowboys Going After Randy Moss
in a year where Washington says they are not going to be big players in the FA pool, seems as though they may want to. Dallas is talking about Randy Moss, Stallworth, Javon Walker, they signed Zach Thomas. The G-men are trying to get Deangelo Hall to improve an all ready damn good defense, and now the Eagles are talking about making a run at Asante Samuel. Its early, but if these teams improve as much as they are rumored to be, we need to make some sort of move. I would be more inclined on making a move to bring a top notch corner vs a WR.

There will be a ton of rumors before free-agency...much of it are agents posturing to get teams to up the price for their players. Teams are also willing to throw out red herrings to get teams to make moves they did not intend to make...in an effort to hurt their competitors long term. The Skins need to have a plan and stick to it, regardless of what the competition does. On top of that...this one looks like a flimsy rumor based on one thing....the Cowboys are one of the teams that would LEAST need Randy Moss. He has a big ego and is not young and would not mesh well with TO. This look like an attempt to get an NFC team, other than Dallas, to ante up for Moss before (shaking in our boots) the dreadful Cowboys sign him. I say....its an obvious bluff.

Moss isn't leaving NE, they'll pony up for him. Stallworth - fast but nothing special, Walker - injury problems, plus we have been rumored to be talking to him, Zach Thomas - who cares. D. Hall - overrated & psycho, the Falcons are wanting a #1 for him and in the same article as the Moss rumor it mentions the Giants aren't willing to pay Hall's asking price, Asante Samuel - did you see the Super Bowl & there are rumors his best days are in the rear-view. Plus any of these guys that can play (Moss, Hall, Samuel) will demand a mega-contract that will eat a tremendous amount of cap space or have major cap ramifications within 3-4 years. We need to stay on course; target 2-4 reasonably priced FAs (Hackett, Florence) who fill specific needs and draft DL & CB in the 1st & 2nd round. We don't need to break the bank on an overpriced FA CB. Outside of Samuel & Hall, what top-level FA CBs are out there who could help us. Asomugha & Trufant were franchised.

When you have a QB in your division that racks up over 4000 yards and 23 TD's, or a WR that accumulates 15 TD's and 1400 yards, you need personnel and strategy to counter that. So the G-Men, and Eagles looking to bolster thier defensive backfield with the likes of Samuel or Hall to counter threats like Romo, Owens, Witten, S. Moss, Cooley etc only makes sense. But this is the worst time of year for rumors. The last few days before free agency and more than tons of speculation. All unsubstantiated, but enough to cause a fervor. |

FOX Sports on MSN - John Czarnecki - Talk isn't just about college stars at combine
Here's a link to the story regarding the Moss rumors. I've been saying it all along, New England doesn't pay their players. If they don't pay Tom Brady, who is the reason for their Superbowls, and they didn't pony up for Vinietari (sp?) another key component for their Superbowl wins, they are not going to pay for Moss. That is plain and simple. Now, we have a situation where a top team can become dominant. I mean, look at what the Patriots became last year...the team had a WR corps of Moss, Welker (a steal from Miami), and Stallworth. You know Jerry Jones is going go after Moss with a ton of money. I say hey, let's make a run at him and steal him from the Cowboys. We need a big time receiver, and in lieu of going after Chad Johnson, who would cost us several picks, let's go after Moss. We're the gurus of the salary cap, and we can work it out. Can you imagine a WR corps of Moss, Moss, and ARE, along with Cooley? With a more polished and cannon-for-an-arm Campbell throwing? I say why not.

We should only go after Moss if he would better our team not to supposedly damage the Cowboys. It is arguable that a Moss signing will make their team worse in the locker room and with the cap and age. Moss' agent is doing a great job of driving up his price...he needs to make up for lost revenue...this is the time to create a frenzy
