Re: Zorn's next fullback!
I've watched a lot of film on both. Hillis is just as good of a blocker if not better... and a way better receiver. Don't think we want to draft a FB that high but you never know

Re: Zorn's next fullback!
I've been sold on our 275lb fullback that can catch and leap over small buildings since he caught all those touchdowns 2 years ago. I have no idea how you elevate 275 lbs the way Mike does. Scratch your idea, it's terrible.

Re: Zorn's next fullback!
Scout.com: West Virginia Forums List Kinda of a link talking about it. And apperently Schmitt wanted to go to UMD but did very poorly academic wise his senior year in HS. Apperently he and his mom were homeless for part of his time in HS and had a tough time growing up which in turn caused him to do bad in school. |

Mike Sellers is a beast. It never hurts to add some depth though.

In fact, Sporting news reported that Sellers would likely benefit the most from Zorn coming in because he catches well out of the backfield and has good speed and size to hit the hole with. Sellers is a top 2 or 3 NFC Fullback, no way should we move on with someone else. He is reliable and a beast, exactly what you look for in a FB.

Re: Zorn's next fullback!
PEYTON HILLIS 2007
REC YDS AVG TD 49 537 11.0 5 OWEN SCHMITT 2007 REC YDS AVG TD 12 121 10.1 1 Can anyone spot the WCO FB Hillis has better rushing stats in 2007 as well If we draft a FB in the 1st 3 rounds where both of these guys are going it will most likely be Hillis. But I don't think we should, Sellers will have a career year... one thing that irks me about him are his big drops, he had a decent amout last season

Re: Zorn's next fullback!
Wow, you guys are coming down pretty hard on Sellers. Two threads in the past month lobbying for a guy to replace him.
Also, Lorenzo Neal is on the trading block, maybe you guys should talk about that.

Re: Zorn's next fullback!
Ok, I'm sorry for putting words into the original posters script. I do deserve this. I again will say I like Sellers and am glad we have him he is a beast and can run over people.
What am I trying to say.....we need someone who can open a lane for Portis/Betts. They tried to many failed expierments with the running game. We tried Betts and Portis and it didn't work. We tried Cooley and Portis and it didn't work. We tried Sellers and Portis and it didn't work. Hell we even had Randell El sliding from WR position to back field in hopes of throwing off the D. Now, maybe it wasn't Seller's fault completely(I know this) but the whole point of a blocking FB is to take the first hit and open a lane for the RB. How many times did Sellers get stuffed at the line closing the hole for Portis and not making the 1-3 yrds needed for a first down? my recolection would be way to many. Again perhaps it was the lines fault and not the FB/RB/TE/WR we used back there. |
