You think all NFL WRs are 6'2"+? I guess you wanted 5'9" Brandon Flowers?

Or maybe we should've went after 5'9" 1/2 Asante Samuel...

Re: Justin Tryon profile

Tryon is a good fit for our defensive scheme as a Nickel CB, hopefully he can develop into a #3 or #2 CB down the road. The only problem I have with this pick is that I think we reached for him, we probably could have got him in later rounds.

Re: Justin Tryon profile

I think the Ellis Hobbs comparison is more accurate. I really like his closing speed and desire to make the play (which u can't coach) and his negatives of not readily recognizing routes and grasping assignments can be treated with good coaching at the pro level. After watching his film, I think I like him a lot.

Besides, u can't blame the FO for not "Tryon" on this kid! haha...sorry I had to do it

Alright but Asante Samuel is an exception, and no while not all receivers 6'2 + a lot of them are a good few inches taller than 5'9, immediately giving them the advantage when the ball is in the air.

The irrational negativity on here has been suprising to me, even though it probably shouldn't be. I taped the draft since it came on so late over here, watched it late, and accordingly logged on here after the bullets had already started flying. What I thought was slam dunk first day for us (getting two players we wanted for the price of one, getting arguably the best TE in the draft, and getting them all cheap) was being slammed. Then I log on today to see people crushing guys they have never even heard of!!

And what is this need stuff? The draft more than anything else is for depth. People act like a starting TE has never gotten hurt in the history of the league. Where would the Giants have been without rookie Kevin Boss last year?

What is wrong with selecting a guy who's raw?? Size does not matter at all, just look at D. Green, A. Samuel, Barry Sanders, Art Monk, Wesley; they re all small and they achieved in Pro level.. It is not like we got him at like first rd or second rd..

Art Monk?

I think all the CBs picked in the 5th round would have been better options

I did not say that we did right thing and addressed the position by drafting him.. I'm saying that I don't see anything wrong with selecting a raw player, especially with our coaches who are usually good teachers.. As for size, I'm just tired of people being critics of small size..
