Re: I am impressed with the Skins
And Campbell will get better as our 3 2nd rounders get more involved in the games. We've hardly utilized Kelly, Thomas and Davis. Those are 3 additional weapons that he will have to utilize.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
Just imagine if we actually coverted some redzone opportunities(which will come as we go along) we couldve been in the upper 40s. Things look good.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
hey, our offense looks great against a terrible defense...
seriously though, jason campbell was only holding on to balls a little too long in the first half (versus WAY too long all last game) and fixed it at halftime apparently. defense looked like it should, horton should start. ARE should be benched on punt returns. brooks looked bad too, but the preseason showed that he can do much better, so i'd just call it a bad game at this point. coverage teams as a whole weren't great either. DL made a lot more plays today than i remember them making per game last year, which is encouraging. thinking jason taylor's going to work out just fine (when he went out i was a bit afraid his entire year was going to be playing 10 snaps and missing the next 4 weeks, but once he came back and made more plays, well, i'm not nearly as worried about it). red zone offense needs some work, but it looks like they got it fixed mid game... hopefully we don't do 0-5 on TD opportunities going forward. |

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
I impressed with how much we seem to have grown as a team in the last 10 days. JC played great...down by 9 and to comeback...and i will say this much...the individual play he made with his legs to step up and hit moss for the go ahead touchdown....was great and i truly enjoyed seeing Portis run the way he did and not to mention the two tds....great performance on offense....and not to poke a jab at saint fans but shockey was responsible for two turnovers....i loved seeing that.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
I think it's excellent that we "fought our guts out" LOL, and fought our way back in the game to take it in the end. Yes, we should've had a commanding lead though. All day long, the offense was able to move up and down the field at will, but we need to start punching in as much as possible when we're in the red zone. Still, that audible and the pass to Moss from Campbell was just beautiful! Certainly makes me a little more optimistic about our chances this year. Still though, we have a tough schedule. Next week will be tough!

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
Arizona better be "a piece of cake", cuz after that comes Dallas and Philadelphia both away. Really need next week to be a follow up to the 2nd half of this game.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
JC grew a little, we need to get DT, MK and FD more involved in the red zone we drafted height and talent and they sit on the bench in those situations. I know our defense can hold their own, it was nice to see the offense contribute, we need to have Devin Thomas return punts and kick offs.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
So we can play. I wasn't sure we could after the last few weeks but today had to be a shot in the arm for the entire team and especially JC. He had some accuracy problems but he played with a confidence we haven't seen and lead this team. He made the protection audbile on the bomb to Moss and generally stood tall all day. Regardless of the win we actually showed that we can play good football. I don't think we're aywhere near where we can be but we're a hell of a lot farther than we were after last week's disappointment.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
This was a good win. It was an impressive comeback. The offense came through with big plays in the fourth quarter to pull off the victory and the defense played well all day. Special teams play almost cost the Skins a victory. The fumble by Randle El was bad, but the punt return touchdown by Reggie Bush was worse.

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
didnt get to see the game, was running from Ike,one of the lucky ones and got power on today,Moms house underwater, but on to the skins, great to see them have a comeback win,not going to read every post, but looks like Jc had a bounceback game, which is fantastic,Moss"S stats look great, did he drop any today? Guess the punter had a really bad day, just so glad we were able to win this one, after looking so pathetic last week I wish I would have been able to see this one.Hail to the Redskins!!

Re: I am impressed with the Skins
It was nice to see Cambell able to finally heave a ball down field to Moss. I loved his composer in the pocket on that play. I thought he was going to get planted. Great game. Glad to see that the 'Skins didn't give up after being down like they were and with the blown scoring oppurtunities that they had also.
