What? My name is meant to honor the hogs. I don't really think they're "dirtbags" oh wait you meant Double D.

DoughtyDoubter, you don't happen to have a tatoo with your ex girfriends name on it do you?

Or Madden, that way we can run Fake FG's like all game. Thats of course after we go for it in our own territory.

That is irony at it's greatest, a dude who's name is dissing a player telling everyone we need to love and show these guys support.

Give the kid a break. This thread is semi-ridiculous.

Are you saying holding or punting is the easiest job in the league?

Brooks needs to improve, but really "easiest job in the NFL?" Says who?

Re: Durant Brooks Venting Thread

They drafted Brooks so as long as he didn't fall on his face he was going to get the job all along.

I'll cut him some slack though. He's talented. He'll be ok I think. He just had a bad game.

Re: Durant Brooks Venting Thread

This is exhibit A why you don't draft an effing punter. While Brooks is learning on the job, our special teams suffer. Brooks is leading the NFL in sucking at punting, last in punting avg (36.8) and last in net (28.3). So we suffer through Frost and just as he's turned the corner we have to suffer through Brooks? Great.

if by frost turned the corner, you mean, he just gave up a safety as he let a ball that hit him in the hands bounce out of the endzone....

Re: Durant Brooks Venting Thread

Here's the kick in the nuts. If this guy doesn't have a big turnaround and soon, he'll get cut, we will end up with a journeyman type (in all likelihood inferior to Frost), and we will have wasted a 6th round pick. Maybe this is why most teams don't draft punters.

Yes, he did give up a safety. He also averages 10 net yds more than Brooks and is the holder that Suisham prefers. Brooks may come around, I seem to recall a certain Chip Lohmiller who never really did...

Honestly, I'd MUCH rather have an argument about the punter than the qb.

Giving up a safety is trivial compared to giving up ten points. Frost might not have been the greatest punter for us but I can never remember a time when he cost us ten points.
