Re: Jason Taylor to have second surgery on Monday on calf
I agree 100%. We beat Dallas and Philly without JT. Get him his rest so he'll be good to go for our stretch run. Evans has played really well. Plus he's good against the run and the Steelers will have Willie Parker back next Monday.

Re: Jason Taylor to have second surgery on Monday on calf
Evans has stepped up and played real well. But what is going on with James, I have not even seen him in the rotation?

Re: Jason Taylor to have second surgery on Monday on calf
E. James was on the field quite a bit yesterday and even drew a holding call.

I was in and out a little bit, but I didn't miss much maybe a couple minutes of game time. He must not have done anything or got to much playtime?

Re: Jason Taylor to have second surgery on Monday on calf
That is fine, I am all for letting Taylor get his surgery and rest.... The more pressing issue here is Springs will miss the Mon night game as well. While Rogers and Smoot are playing very well.... the Steelers have more than a couple pretty good receivers. Not to mention a QB that will pick you apart if given time. Our pass rush is not even close to the Giants'.

I guess I'm just more curios is he up to speed (full health), being he apparently is in a very limited role to no play time at all. Just haven't seen much of him at all, other than when JT was inactive. Even then he was barley getting on the field. Or is he just not quite up to full speed at this point.

Re: Jason Taylor to have second surgery on Monday on calf
Taylor better start producing or in my opinion he will be placed on the long list of "dud" FAs that we have acquired in trying to shore up our pass rush. Can't we just use a couple draft picks to address our pass rush for a change? Every draft we expect a high pick to be used on a DE or a DT only to get a LB or WR. We have been pretty good with our LB choices, but damn, we need to get a monster pass rush going. Can't beleive we didn't get a sack against Orlovsky yesterday.
