Re: NFL Mock Draft Database Updated

Not sure what to make of the Draft Database page. Why do so many predict we'll go defense w/ the first pick? And for a corner? Jeez, unless we lose Springs and Hall drafting a corner seems way unlikely. Yes, OLB is a need but we don't need a 1st round stud right off the bat unless Marcus gets the axe (admittedly i'm a Marcus fan so I don't want him traded - we're a better defense when he's on the field). Is really any need more obvious, more crucial, than RT or possibly C?

Frankly, if we don't get a franchise RT or C from this draft I'm gonna be left speechless for a good week or two.

because over the last few years we've gone with DB's primarily.

He's on his third post and he's already a warpath superstar calling people idiots. Way to welcome yourself to the community.

No, No, No. Vinny's policy specifically says no players with the same name as fictional characters from past Nickelodeon shows. Therefore we will not draft him.

However in all seriousness a lot of it will depend on how much a team wants a first round center. The last two I can remember are Chris Spencer from the Seahawks and Jeff Faine to the Browns. However I felt like Ryan Kalil was better then both of them and he lasted until the middle of the second round. If he's available in the second round then we'll probably get him, assuming the rare possibility that we either get a second rounder for Carlos or trade back and get another second rounder.

Re: NFL Mock Draft Database Updated

I had no idea about the other Alex Mack Dirtbag. Mack isn't projected to be taken until the 2nd or 3rd round so if we could get a good OT in the first and somehow move up and get Mack, that would be great.

DJ Moore, CB from Vandy - also a return specialist. If we lose Rogers (or even if we don't), he may be a very good pick.

Here's a guy MeanEvilSkin pointed out that would be worth taking a look at. Evander "Ziggy" Hood, Defensive Tackle Missouri : NFL Draft Prospect "Can Penetrate at Will"

This is what I saw that made me a fan.
Most draft sites have him listed as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Re: NFL Mock Draft Database Updated

Check out Vince Oggobase (DT -- Duke).

He's projected as a 3rd or 4th round pick.

If we are able to pick Hood or Oggobase in the 3rd, we will be free to invest heavily in the OL in the 1st & 2nd (via trade down and/or 'Los trade).

Re: NFL Mock Draft Database Updated

As much as I want to draft Duke Robinson, I wouldn't be terribly upset if we somehow end up with this guy.

Watching the FSU bowl game the other day, I couldn't help but thinking I was looking at a future 'Skin in Everett Brown.
