This was probably not the thread to start that conversation.
We've been "falling behind" other countries in education for decades now, long before soccer Moms ruined soccer and our youth by teaching them that life isn't all about winning.

100% correct, when liberals set in their minds that someone is against their agenda, the gloves come off. Just ask most liberals how they feel about organized religion, Bush, Scalia/Thomas, anti-abortion protestors, or successful corporations. One of your favorite authors, Ann Coulter's book Guilty provides several excellent illustrations of your point.

The problem with the Republican leadership right now is they're afraid to take the gloves off as well. Too many RINOs at the top, the party needs to get back to its conservative roots. The way I see it is, you can't go into a political fist-fight with your hands tied, if you're gonna get a nose-busting, you might as well try to bust someone else's nose too, and who knows you just might be the last one standing.

Seriously this thread was suppose to be about parents who brag about their kids too much. Rep and Dem bitchers get the hell out of here.

Agenda has such a negative connotation...it sounds so sinister, can we find a better and friendlier word to use? How about Platform? I'll let you even prefix Platform with the word Progressive if you want. Honestly though, we have nothing against successful corporation and we certainly do know how to build them as evident by my boys Billy G, Warren B, and Larry E.

I hadn't notice the GOP had its Hello Kitty Mittens on. I personally hope they do take off the mittens so I can witness those disgusting hands try to sell shit. If they can do it, god bless them. I'm curious though, what exactly are you expecting them to do with mitten'less hands that they haven't done in the past 15 years?

Aren't those the same mittens Obama had on at the G20 today?

Mittens or not, the GOP did OK the last few years prior to 2008. They just executed like libs instead of conservatives. But to Mredskins point, we're digressing....

Soccer moms, juice boxes and trophies for everyone suck, but it's not just soccer. It's in a majority of youth sports up until the kids hit 12 or 13. I coached youth football for several years while my son was at that age and God forbid at the end of the year there weren't trophies whether we won anything or not.

That and contract offers from Chelsea and Real Madrid. You can buy a lot of orange slices with money from those teams.

Ever sense Newt Gingrish took the beating in the media the conservative party has become a bunch of wimps. Its like they cannot even see with the pounding Newt took in the media he was still able to accomplish alot and Rep. party took control. The conservatives ever sense are scared to stand on their principles because they know the media will beat up on them. I think in this last election the conservatives passed up a golden opportunity to seperate them from Bush and his liberal spending. I guess part of the problem would also be that they participated in that spending.
