anyone on that poll except Sanchez. Maybin is'nt #13 talent, but i would rather have him than a trade up for effing Sanchez.

With the 13th pick (or 9th after my predicted trade with GB) in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Brian Orapko, Defensive End, University of Texas.. Paintrain is a happy camper.
With the 13th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Rey Maualuga, Linebacker, University of Southern California.. Paintrain is a happy camper. With the 13th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select, Andre Smith, Tackle, University of Alabama.. Paintrain is a happy camper. Anything else (outside of a trade down) and I'm gonna hurt someone.

Re: Please Draft ??? at #13
I'm going to say Michael Oher. I love the idea of Orakpo or Maualuga, but we need a tackle so badly. We've done nothing thus far to our O-line except bring back Dockery, and I'm not alone in the opinion that said O-line was the biggest reason for our a 2-6 finish.
We finished '08 with the 4th overall defense, and that was without Albert Haynesworth. I don't mean to dimish our need for another DE and OLB, but I think tackle is more pressing given the current state of things. Giving Campbell more time and Portis more holes is so important. I could deal with Samuels, Dock, Rabach, a healthy Randy Thomas, and Oher up front.

Re: Please Draft ??? at #13
We couldn't really go wrong with any of those guys.
Orakpo would fill and immediate need to our aging line. Same goes for Oher or Smith on the other side of the ball. London Fletcher is a gamer but isn't getting any younger so Maualuga makes sense. He could play OLB until we run Fletcher off. Maybin would have to play OLB. He's too small to play DL. And as much as I hate to say it, Sanchez would make sense because it really seems like our FO has no intention of resigning Campbell unless he has a pro bowl season and leads us to the playoffs. But if I had to make a choice, I'd pick (in this order) Orakpo, Oher, Maualuga, Andre Smith, Malcolm Jenkins, Mack, Moreno, Cushing (these guys aren't on the list but are good football players), Maybin, and then Sanchez. |

Remember, Vinnie told us that Heyer was a dominant and unbeatable tackle if he could just remember to bend his knees all the time. Ergo, the Skins only need a center who can tell the RG to tell Heyer to bend his f***ing knees every play. I don't think you need to spend a first round pick to solve that problem...

Is it just me or does Vinny looked jacked out of his mind? Every picture I see of him his eyes look lit up like a Christmas Tree.

Maybe he's hanging out with the "Deadliest Catch" crew and drinking lots of RedBull.

Re: Please Draft ??? at #13
You guys think there is any chance Curry would fall to 13? probably not right...sigh
I think a top 4 OLineman or DLineman would be fine in this position...or Rey |

I might tinkle with joy if that were to happen, but I doubt it would.

Re: Please Draft ??? at #13
I chose Oher, but let's say if he isn't there then A. Smith if he is there.. But if both Ts are not there, then Orapko.. I have to admit, I'm starting to like the idea of drafting Orapko; he could immediately fill in the two glaring positions for defense (just like Matty just said in earlier post).. However T is still a priority, JC won't be able to throw touchdowns if he doesn't have enough time in pocket..
