I guess the positive spin on Microsoft sucking is just think of how many IT/tech jobs have been created due to Microsoft/Windows products being so clunky and inefficient.

Re: F... Bill Gates...
It means you send it back to MS if it's still under their warranty, or you better hope you bought a replacement plan at the store. If not, then it's time to sell it broken on ebay for parts.

Re: F... Bill Gates...
Yeah I'm not worried about it getting fixed, it's just annoying that they put out such a piece of junk system.

Re: F... Bill Gates...
I heard the unit needs to be well-ventilated, almost to the point of impracticality. You sure it's well ventilated?

Re: F... Bill Gates...
the original units had horrible cooling as well too, which they attempted to fix I think by a newer heatsink, they're suffering the same problems as a lot of laptops, trying to make things too sleek, slim, and powerful at the same time, without new technology

Re: F... Bill Gates...
I have a love hate relation with computers. I just purchased a new computer system for my office and I have no clue how to use all the stuff installed on them. I just took the spec sheet from our home office and gave it to a customer who does business computers systems and told him to get me what was needed. His first price was almost $11,000 then I sat him down and got him to about half that price. He said its a basic office system but I still get lost.

half of that could build you one hell of a machine capable of doing anything you wanted 5500 would get you a computer that could do some serious crunching, decoding, etc and a 50 inch TV to use as a monitor |
