Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
His cousin is a complete idiot but let's be honest here, we all know the chance of this fool sitting out is nil.
Never say you're going to something unless you're willing to do it and I doubt he will.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Even thought the probability is low, theoretically what would happen to the 49ers pick? They would have the 10th pick and what ever pick they would be slotted for?

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Crabtree is a dumb ass but there is no way he's going to turn down 20mil. He's getting some real bad advice but I'd expect to see him sign eventually. If he sat out he might not get drafted til the mid rounds next year.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
He might be willing to sit out, but I agree with you. This isn't baseball and both sides have too much at stake to not get a deal done by Sept. 1.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
The cherry on the top of this story would be that when Crabtree eventually signs with whoever he'll be a huge bust.
Hahaha wouldn't that be an Oh Sh*ter! |

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
lets remind people. the agent WORKS for the player. if he doesn't want to sit, he tells his agent. and didnt one of the wide outs from U.S.C do exactly this a couple of seasons ago. maybe Mike Williams?

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
Crabtree is a total diva. It's been obvious for a while. And whoever his "handlers" are, they're screwing this up. The best advice Crabtree could follow in this case is to realize you haven't done shit yet on the pro level, act humble, work hard, and shut your mouth. Instead he's acting just like the kind of WR that divides teams and creates friction, a la TO and Ochocinco. Even if he is that guy, you have to put on a different front at this stage.
The funny part is, even when Crabtree does sign (no way in hell he gives up a full year of that kind of earning power), Mike Singletary is the last guy who will put up this diva kind of BS.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
The irony is that Singletary held out for a week because he thought he should have been a first-rounder.

Actually, I could see him being more like Micheal Westbrook.

Re: Micheal Crabtree is sad
If he does sit out, or never report to the team that drafted him...the team and Reebok should send him a bill for all of the #15 jerseys and merchandise that had his name on it. Ship all of the jerseys to his parents house. No one else will buy it.
