I second that too!! Vinny didn't address our OL in the off season.

I don't believe its the players. Two 6'4 receivers and no balls thrown to either of them in the redzone and still no deep passes. What happened to the 2 tight end sets we were suppose to see? Zorn is in over his head. He would never admit it.

very true....but this team so desperately needs a future in any form...it needs a sanchez or a mike tomlin, it needs a ap or whoever

Going for it on 4th is the correct call. The play call was completely obvious and uninspired, but you should go for it there. You've got to assume your defense will not give up a 99 yard drive. They are supposed to be "great" right? (Yeah right). Not declining the penalty was completely inexcusable. He should be fired for that alone.

Still, Campbell did not play well. There is absolute no timing or rhythm to his game. He is inconsistent and you cannot absolve him from the problems on this team. The thing is that he is one of many problems. (Chad Rhinehart is not an NFL player and they had to help him all day long (because he was getting beaten the whole first half until they started giving him help on every play). But Campbell played very poorly today. I think you have to come to the conclusion that he is not the long-term answer for this team.

I never ever said he played great but he is not blame for the lost. Just look at the time of possession which makes the declined penalty look even worse.

The starting QB of any struggling team has to be accountable. Show me a really good QB that can only manage 7 points a game (yes, I discount garbage time TDs). Better QBs have been benched before. He missed a lot of plays out there (out of bounds onthe fade, Moss at the 5, ARE was WIDE open on the INT). His pocket awareness and footwork is awful and any pass he attempts after having to take a few steps are way off.

Rodney Harrison on Football Tonight in America:

"It's the QB. I don't know what they see in Campbell. He's a backup that's been elevated to the status of Starter."

Dungy basically threw the whole organization under the bus, which is obviously the bigger problem. I say start over. We've seen what rookie coaches can do with really good rookie QBs (Jets, Ravens, Falcons). Who's to say we couldn't be a threat next year with a new GM, Coach and QB. Seems to be the rule and not the exception these days.

Re: Now What??

If I'm Danny, I am calling my man JG, and looking for some wisdom. I seriously would begin to evaluate what to keep and what (and who) to toss. Barring MAJOR positive change in the near future, I would execute that plan.
I personally think I would be looking at ditching Vinnie, and go from there. Start or consider a sweep of some kind from the top. Keep the good pieces and look at losing the not so good.
For the money and time Danny has in this team.....the results ARE NOT THERE..

Got that right major changes need to occur the team has had a core problem for too long and way too much talent not producing. It's awful..... They need strong leaders which is clear they don't have.

Zorn looks like he was crying.

Honestly, I don't want to hear anything Gibbs would have to say in this matter. I'll just leave it at that.

I hear you, but I suspect what JG says to Dan is......somewhat different from what fans hear?

Re: Now What??

I wouldn't do anything. You can't make things better when the season is being played. Right now we just have to keep plugging away and then make the changes at the end of the year. I think Zorn needs to be fired but not til the end of the year.

So, what do we do? Knee jerk is to just fire Zorn. We don't just look average, we look lost, uninspired, and we seem to be regressing. That's on the coach.

If you're calling the shots, what do you do to fix the Redskins? Measured steps? Blow it all up and start over?

Obviously our current path isn't working at all, on either side of the ball. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results....

Thats what gets me. Uninspired. This team has no **** drive, doesnt look jakked up, doesnt look ready to play. They just look like they dont care. They go through this happy grab ass training camp, and just look lazy. I'm so pissed off right now. Theres not a single player on this team who I feel can look in the mirror. Not Cooley, not Portis, not a god damn one of them.
