No, but if you're going to carry 3 TE's it doesn't really matter who you have. He can block decently and seems to have a few good catches a year. Unless you have a young guy beat him in the preseason might as well keep him.

our line blows. not even close to being NFL quality. i would give Ed Williams every opportunity to start at center. Dockery and Rinehart would start at guards. and my tackles would be rookies, or free agents. i really don't think anyone would notice any drop off at all, because of the poor play from this season. maybe i would keep Jones around for depth.

Re: Redskins Free Agents not named Jason Discussion

Carlos Rogers - serviceable DB. not a star and not a stublebum. keep him at a reasonable price.

Casey Rabach - best if the Skins find a better center. sayonara.

Byron Westbrook - special teams guy :thumb: cornerback

Rocky McIntosh - keep

Todd Yoder - keep

Hunter Smith - not real good and not real bad. keep at a reasonable price.

Randy Thomas - doctors' decision and no one else. if healthy, he is the best returning OL.

Stephon Heyer - ditch him.

Lorenzo Alexander - special teams guy :thumb: offensive/defensive lineman

Phillip Daniels - too long in the tooth. time to give a younger guy the job.

Kedric Golston - you've seen the best he is going to be. if you like that/are satisfied with that, make him an offer. he won't be getting a ton of competing offers.

Anthony Montgomery - see "Kedric Golston comment" just above.

Renaldo Wynn - see "Phillip Daniels comment" above. that goes double here.

Will Montgomery - no way, no how should he be here next year. can't play!

Chris Wilson - hasn't shown all that much. vaya con Dios, Chris.

Reed Doughty - keep

Matt Sinclair - no idea.

Richard Bartel - no idea.

Marcus Mason? - good bye and thanks for all the fish.

Quinton Ganther? - keep.

Levi Jones? - see ya!

Mike Williams? - he's a backup guard and nothing else; is he worth a roster spot with that limitation? probably.

Here is what we ought to know by now. These guys have not worked out. So you move on and try to get a better cadre of players in here to begin to build the right mixture.

If a "new crop" turns out to be a miserable failure, how will that be significantly different from what we saw all year long here?

Logan Mankins and Jarred Gaither would look good in B&G

On a side note does anyone see Shannahan chasing Brandon Marshall if the broncos release him?

Well I would definitley think so and hope so, but I also heard that shanahan wanted to get rid of him at the end of his tenure so I have no clue.
