7 LONG years. It seemed like Norv was here forever.

Re: skins v chargers

Norv was here for seven years and produced only one playoff appearence with a combined won lost record of 50-60. Norv has been gone for eight years, we've had four coaches over that period that have (if we lose tomorrow) produced two playoff appearences and a combined 62-82 record. All things considered, these combined records once again demonstrate change just for the sake of change and "mediocre" at it's finest.

We really need to loose this game to make sure we secure a good draft position. With that said, since it's his last game, I nominate Zorn to call plays for the San Diego game.

That's cold Dirtbag. It really is a catch-22 isn't it? On the one hand I always want us to win, on the other, I want the best pick we can get.

The way the last two games have gone you would have to think that Zorn had been calling the plays.

NFL .com reports that Volek will replace Rivers at some point in the game. Turner says he'll pull Rivers so Volek can get some playing time.

The good part about that is: We are a better team IMO than most teams that would be picking at 5-6 position. We could very easily have been an 8-8 or 9-7 team, being able to pick as high as we will pick with the team we already have is more than we could ask for short of double digit wins.

I'm like you though, I always want to win.

Re: skins v chargers

Actually I don't know why this game scares me.....

I think I'm afraid that we will win this game. The Chargers have nothing to lose, they are sitting many of their key starters. I can see us winning this game and falling down the draft board. If I was Allen I would definitly hinder Zorn's ability by instructing him to use all the Rookies we have. This way they can say they have more game film on some of the Rookies plus to give them game experience. Do we even have a back up QB besides Collins who could play?

I hope the Chargers tear us a good one, and I hope Tampa wins and KC wins. We might be able to move up a spot or two if they do.

Re: skins v chargers

I dont see us coming out to the west coast and getting a win. We have just to many backups playing and our O-line is just awful. I see us losing this one 21-10. As soon as the Chargers score the 1st 7 points we are done. Defense will fold and the offense will give up a few turnovers. Cant wait til Monday when I wake up to ESPN braking news JIM ZORN fired by the Redskins........ Let the New Era begin. HTTR.

Norv's firing is what caused all this shit, meaning it set the nasty precendent for the next decade after his canning. Would love to see SD win the whole enchilada also, so Norv can really tell Danny boy where to stick it.
I like Gus... not sure about the bolded text but the rest I like.

I think Norv will rest Rivers and others in the 2nd half if we're up by 21 or so. But I think he wants the W bad (like the Cowgirls game), so he will probably keep Rivers in till he gets the job done.

Skins - 20
Bolts - 31

Good luck today...I mean that for the fans that want the Skins to win.
I guess no-luck for the fans of draft pick....(I think :confused

Cheering for your team to lose so you get a better draft pick is like cheering as your grandpa gets euthanized.

Always root for the win.
