Re: Championship games predictions
Colts 24, Jets 13 - Peyton & Co. show Rex that it just simply takes more than a good D and rushing attack to win championships these days.
Saints 31, Vikings 27 - If N.O. brings their "A" game on all sides of the ball (Special Teams included), they are virtually unstoppable. Favre refuses to retire after getting so close to another ring. |

Re: Championship games predictions
Colts and NO will face off in the Super Bowl - NO wins 34-24.
As far as the division championship games go, i really believe it could go either way in both games. Minnesota has played well and their offense has proved it can keep pace with the Saints. The Vikings have the edge in the running game and that could be the difference. Both teams are playing great defense. The Jets are playing great defense and run the ball hard behind a great offensive line. They only way they can beat the Colts is if they run the ball 40 times. If they keep Peyton Manning on the sidelines, they have a great chance. Oh yeah, and Sanchez can't make mistakes. The colts showed playoff grit stuffing Baltimore's formidable running game (5th best in NFL) so it will be interesting. A money-line bet on the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets might not be a bad bet. |

Saints As much as I know the Colts should be the winner in this match up, I'm sick of hearing about the Manning family. I think Payton is one hell of a QB but I'm sick of hearing about "any" Manning or anyone named Favre. I hope and pray the Jets prove the last game was not a fluke. Jets |

Re: Championship games predictions
Vikings - Saints - Neither one of these teams palyed well at the end of the season. Vikings are not a great road team, but they do have Bret Favre.
Vikings - 31 Saints - 24 Jets - Colts - I like the Jets defense and running game, but how can you pick against Peyton Manning? The Jets only hope is to keep it close early. Not sure they'll have a lot of success running the ball against the Colts defense. Colts - 27 Jets - 13 |

Re: Championship games predictions
who will win each game is anybodies guess. all i know is a superbowl matchup between the saints and colts would be pretty awesome. regardless of who goes to the big game, i'll be rooting for the NFC to win it all.

Re: Championship games predictions
Well my Charger-Viking superbowl went out the window last week so, I'm saying Colts-Vikings play for the Lombardi.

Re: Championship games predictions
The Jets are good, but clearly they've overachieved in my opinion. But who really cares about fancy storylines when you're playing in the AFC Championship. They deserve to be there and they're going to give Manning and Co. all they can handle and then some. The ever-present Darrelle Revis shutting down everything wearing a blue jersey and a healthy dose of Kerry Rhodes blitzing off the edges will shake the Colts up early in the game and give the Jets a confidence boost before we reach half-time.
I'm calling for an epic upset. Jets 24 Colts 13 In the NFC this is the match-up many saw coming for most of the season. The Vikings will be impervious to the crowd noise in N'awlins. The Reggie Bush from last week won't show up this week and Drew Brees will have to carry the offense most of the way. On the other side of the ball, Adrian Peterson, who has seemed to lose his mojo recently, will show up and thrash the Colts to the tune of 150 yards rushing. Vikings 30 Saints 21 |

Re: Championship games predictions
I really want to see a JETS vs Vikings Superbowl.
The Colts should and quite possibly will destroy the Jets. I like the Jets story, but I don't think they can gon into Indy and beat Peyton Manning and the Colts. I am a big Peyton fan the dude is a gamer, works hard to be the best, and doesn't take it for granted. He appreciates the game and is a student of football. This guy has way to much passion and love for football for me to dislike him. ( Eli can suk it btw ) The best chance for the Jets to win is to knock him out of the game. The Saints Vikes game is a toss up. Either team can win. I am not making a prediction only to say that this has the makings to be a great NFC Championship game. Both of these teams are very evenly matched. It is hard to find differences for me. They both have alot of offensive weapons. They both have great QBs. There defenses are both good. I kinda see the Vikes having the better unit, but I am biased to the Vikes dline and lbs being more of a factor in them being able to win. They need to pressure Brees from the get go. The Saints have a better coverage unit. I just can't pick it. I'll say Vikes by a fg in the end.

Re: Championship games predictions
I haven't paid a ton of attention to injuries but I think the Vikings are pretty beat up right meow. One of the Williams didn't practice much and neither did their end (opposite Allen). Also Winfield still doesn't look 100% which really leaves that secondary pretty mediocre.
I think if the Saints line can protect Brees enough so he only takes a few hits this game is over early in the 3rd qtr.
