re: Update: Ray Wright Named Strength & Conditioning Coach

#1- I don'tcare about the steriod issue. A lot of people have checkard pasts and as long as he has learned from it who the F cares.

#2- Lots of players get strength and conditioning type of diplomas.

#3- Having said all that .... there has to be a better candidate out there. Were not talking about hiring someone to simply give someone a work out at the gym, were talking about someone who has to develope different routines for different players and their positions. Then work on different eating habits for each position if not for each player.

I guess my issue is if he is not already in this type of position or is currently doing this job for people already and has fine tuned his skills to help the team then I don't see the upside to hiring him. If I'm not mistaken he's a tv announcer for ESPN. They want to help a friend out hire him as an Assistant to the Strength and Conditioning coach.

I also think it's funny how Romanowski is doing anything he can to be a part of this Redskins team now that we picked up Shanahan. He mentioned he would like to be the OL coach, and it was given to someone else. Now he mentions he would like to be the Strength and Conditioning coach. Next it will be Water Boy. I just think it's funny how he's frantically trying to get on the team. Yet is not trying to get on anywhere else.

Why don't they just sign Ben Johnson as speed coach.

Well in defense of Florio, and damn, i feel dirty even saying that, he was reporting what Jay Glazer from Fox reported. He did confirm on his Twitter he was in DC and did confirm he saw Shanahan.

Ok, to now go clean up.

It wasn't Florio's report of Romanowski that he's talking about, it was the little BS shot he threw at the Redskins at the end of his entry. Saying how the Skins even considering Romanowski is somehow a form of flipping the rest of the league and all it's fans a middle finger.

I don't really care that he used PED's in terms of getting a stength job, he does seem to know how the body works...however, I just can't stand the man, and don't want such a jackass as a skin.

re: Update: Ray Wright Named Strength & Conditioning Coach

I saw an interview where Romanowski said he didn't start roids till he got to Oakland. In his younger years he could do it all naturally but w/ age he needed the juice to recover etc. I believed him.

He's not coming here right?

re: Update: Ray Wright Named Strength & Conditioning Coach

I really would like to see Romanowski come her and be our strength coach, because I think he'd be the kind of coach that yells the living hell out of players and gets on their asses. I think he would be saying "Fat Albert you know you have to do all these sprints and not 55% of them like seem to do with games!"

please no more actions need to be taken by the NFL. Let a team hire who they want. No more of the league stepping into everything
