Re: Report: Quinn Traded to Broncos
Redskins Jim, I wouldn't call him a BUM, the guy did have a pretty good yr . I agree that he isn't a franchise qb but he gives it his all every week. I'm all for drafting a qb trust me but we should keep jc for 1 more yr

I am a bit surprised that Whitehurst has drawn enough interest to possibly land the Chargers a 3rd round pick though

No surprise there, they have been that division's whipping boys for years.

Re: Report: Quinn Traded to Broncos
I agree, SKOK. Maybe the word "bum" is a bit harsh. I mean "bum" in terms of his game play, or the inability to raise his game play to a dominant level. He is a classy guy and I love his blue collar work ethic. I am just sick and tired of being a fan of a losing franchise, and a Top 5 QB in the league would go a long way towards elevating our club to perennial contenders.

Re: Report: Quinn Traded to Broncos
Fair enough, it is not the same as JC being tendered. But, as I stated before, I have not heard of anyone, EVER, that was SERIOUSLY interested in acquiring JC as their starting QB. In other words, as I addressed skinsfaninok's question, It IS an indictment of the rest of the league's view of JC. The other 31 teams are not impressed or interested in him as their starting QB.

Re: Report: Quinn Traded to Broncos
Well I think there has been faint interest, certainly not as much as you would hope considering how much we gave up just to draft him.

Even then, I wouldn't stick at #7. If the right trade offer came, I'd move down 6-10 spots more for even more draft picks. Again, I bring up Orakpo. Who wouldn't want his clone at the #13 spot, or an OL as his equal in value?

Re: Report: Quinn Traded to Broncos
Orton is in a very similar situation right now to Campbell. He had a respectable QB rating but seemed to do it with a lot of short passes. Both QB's ironically have strong arms. Basically you end up wondering if you could do better.

Re: Report: Quinn Traded to Broncos
We should be actively shopping Cooley...we have so many holes to fill and so few picks. We don't have the luxury of keeping them both without at least trying to move one. It's like having a Porsche in the driveway while the roof of your house is caved in and your kids are wearing ripped clothes.
