Re: Mayock Thinks Redskins Could Pass on Okung...
with having so few picks, we cant afford to miss with #4. We have to take Okung, he has got to be one of the safest picks in the draft.

Here's the plan:
Trade down, pick up an extra 1st rounder, send that to Denver for Marshall, and still pick up one of the top OL propsects. Win. |

I think I'd pass out from excitement if that happened haha. I think Mcnabb would too if in one day you told him you got him a good young guy to protect his blindside and one of the top 5 wrs in the league to throw the ball to to go along with the targets he already has.

Oh, it could happen if we were to trade down with someone like San Fran or Seattle. Or we could just swap first round picks with denver and get marshall that way. If we pick in the middle of the first round, we could still get Bulaga, Williams, Davis, and should definitely be able to get Charles Brown, Bruce Campbell and Roger Saffold.

the "Danny" didn't done that one. That would be the "Vinnie". Can't have it both ways. Either Danny runs things or he doesn't. He listened to Vinnie and its Vinnie's fault...or Danny makes all the calls so we now have to give credit for the "Danny" going over Shanny's head and getting McNabb.

Re: Mayock Thinks Redskins Could Pass on Okung...
I love me some Trent Williams, but I will just present the following evidence without comment:
The main reason we landed Brian Orakpo at no. 13 in the draft last year is because a bunch of teams thought exactly like this: scheme over talent.

Edit: Injury concerns and an apparent lack of a motor: Durability -4 - Sprained right knee during 2007 opener (Arkansas State) was an early setback. He missed the next four games as a result but did finish the season strong, including two sacks vs. ASU in Holiday Bowl. 2008: Misses Baylor game and plays sparingly versus Kansas due to left knee sprain. Also suffered hamstring strain at the Combine but recovered fully in time for late-March Pro Day workout. Intangibles - 3 - No off-the-field issues. Works hard off-the-field, particularly in the weight room. Is a confident player but would like to see his motor run more consistently. Trait Scale 1 = Exceptional 2 = Above average 3 = Average 4 = Below average 5 = Marginal

Durability issues tend to be a lot more concrete. With that said, I wasn't under the impression that Orkapo was a huge injury risk. A lot of pundits thought he would be a fish out of water in the 3-4, ironically.

Re: Mayock Thinks Redskins Could Pass on Okung...
Back to OT's real quick. Even though he's my second favorite prospect one of the knocks on Bryan Bulaga has been his 33 1/4 inch long arms (36 inches is ideal). Here's some game footage of Bulaga to give you an idea of what he's going to have to deal with at the next level.
By the way I totally stole this off a Chiefs forum while I was looking for the Chief fans views on OKUNGGGGGG!!!!!!!11 So with that said all credit goes to SNR from Chiefs Planet. The short answer is, Bryan Bulaga can do the job - ChiefsPlanet
