Re: Madden 2011
I like the demo, not bad, will take a little getting use to, but over all I didn't hate it.

Re: Madden 2011
I liked the overall feel of the demo except for the audibles. I like how NCAA and previous Madden's have offered the option of switching my line, lb, and secondary coverage more smoothly with each section of the defense being assigned to a button on the controller instead of the new way where I have to cycle through the menu just using the d-pad. I found I never had the time to make it through the process to ever adjust my defense to do what I wanted. As long as I can switch that option I'll be good to go, but if not that's going to take quite a bit of getting used to. Also a minor issue, anyone else find it weird that after so many years of the kicking game using the thumbstick that they switched to the old school tiger woods style of pressing the A/X button 3 times?

Well, so far I like what I see in the game. The player's locomotion seem to be pretty realistic. I need to shake off trying to use the same buttons from Madden '10, since there are some changes. I like the gameplans, and I will look forward to building those. Glad they got rid of the stupid measurement cut-in...well they're still there, but you can get rid of them quickly. I look forward to playing with the Redskins.

Re: Madden 2011
I hate it when they change up the buttons, seems pretty clear they're trying to cater more to the casual fan. I don't mind the change to the kicking, it was almost too easy.
All the pre-snap adjustments are now apparently mapped to the d-pad, and the early reviews aren't good Madden 11 Demo Raises Concerns With Strategy Pad | GoMadden |

I had a much longer post but I lost it. Essentially I said that I hate it when the developers make changes for the sake of change rather than for true game enhancement. Geeks really piss me off sometimes. |

Re: Madden 2011
Both times I had to ship mine back the people at UPS knew exactly what I was shipping just from seeing the box as I walked in the door. One of the employees actually yelled out here comes another Xbox.

Re: Madden 2011
I beleive I had to ship mine to Texas each time. A lady in my office son's just broke and now you have to pay for shipping.
UPS made a lot of money on broken Xboxs.

I heard Microsoft actually built the repair center next to a UPS shipping center to cut down on costs.

Re: Madden 2011
I played a game last night on Demo. I'm not sure what difficulty level it's set to, but it was far too easy. I think I beat the Jets 63 - 3 playing as the Mannings. Running was improved, acceleration felt realistic, kind of had a gradual feel to it and with Addai I wasn't getting chased down by D-ends and LB's on break away runs. The sideline and endzone catch AI is much better. Holy shit I can actually throw a fade route in the back corner, only took what, 10 years for that to happen? Receivers do all they can to stay inbounds... definitely showed some promise. When playing defense, it seemed like the offense was up to the line and snapping the ball before you can make any adjustments via the strategy pad...but that could be realistic, since they were playing from behind and were in hurry up. I'd have to play through a few more times, but gameplay wise, not bad.

I bet they do that so people feel like hey this will be an easy version or basically not get fustrated with it. I played the NCAA demo with Miami and won 31-3 and it was 2 minute quarters! I believe I ran back 3 TD's from fumbles and interceptions.
