IF both are making $50k I willing to bet the Hooters waitress net pay is higher.

But you are right Citi job is a career so eventually over time that person will make more money.

I am also just saying if you are looking for a well paying job that doesn't require a ton of education waiting tables or bartending may be a good route for you. I will add it is a lot of hard work and very stressful.

Not in a cash/tips business like Hooters. They aren't going to claim over 60% (usually more) of their tips. That's 60% of their income tax-free. Basic single person health insurance is about $ 90-100 per month. The waitress nets out ahead.

It is the Detroit area what did you expect. I have a Hooters only a few miles from me in Taylor MI. It opened up I think about 10 years ago. Of course for the grand opening they brought in the hot southern babes, then after a week brought in the local girls. Most of the waitresses look similar to the girl in the pic, with very few actually above average in looks. Thing about Hooters is the food is fine, but too pricey for what you are getting. If the girls looked like the babes from Fla, GA, or the other deep southern states, then yeah I wouldn't mind higher prices to get some extra eye candy, but not for some average dumpy looking gal.

My city has the same standards for police officers....you have to be fit and you get free gym membership along with you badge and glock. This chick needs to hit the gym if she wants to work at Hooters.

LOL...tell you what, dude known as Sarge (don't know his real name but he's popo) at my gym wears Stockton shorts when he hoops. He can't hoop for shit but he knows how to foul.

Too funny. I always get a good laugh when they show the old highlights of Bird/Magic/Dr. J/Barkley and the other commentators give them grief for the shorts.

I miss those pickup games, can't ball anymore, but had a decent game back in the day. My kid can't take the old man yet though. When he gets too close to beating me I'll retire, undefeated, from father/son hoops.

You have to take Hooters at face value. They march scantily clad women in front of redblooded men in order to make a buck. The food is average at best, and a good buffalo wing will beat the crap out of breaded mess they serve at Hooters any day, but to each their own. We used to hit the Rockville Hooters for UFC fights when I lived in Mont. Village. They moved into the old Copeland's space across the street and it actually is a much nicer restaurant now.

There is some sort of imaginary line that separates the "good" Hooters from the "eh" Hooters. I haven't done enough research to back up my theory, but I figure around the VA/NC border is the line. Anything above that line, and you're hoping that 3 out of 10 waitresses at a Hooters is worth ogling. Below that line, and your odds go up exponentially. Exceptions to the rule of course (Ocean City Hooters during the summer for instance has a good amount of hotties), but you haven't truly had the Hooters experience until you get whiplash from having to look here and there.

Now I have probably not been in there since 2004, talking Fairfax, but it seemed like every waitress there dated a cop and it was a huge cop hang out place. Not necessarily a bad thing it was just odd the level of LEO there.

the hooters type of girl is typically attracted to uniforms.. hence my future cheating military wife comment, etc.. between fairfax pd and all of the boys in quantico they seem to stay busy

I haven't been to Fairfax Hooters since around 04 or 05 myself.. hell I've only been to Hooters maybe once since then, Charlotte NC I think

Richmond VA had some stunners in one of the locations awhile back
